PAUL LESTER: APPOINTMENT AS A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHAIRMAN DESIGNATE OF MCCARTHY & STONE PLC

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14, Essentra plc advises that Paul Lester CBE, Non-Executive Chairman, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman designate of McCarthy & Stone plc. Paul will join the Board on 3 January 2018 and will succeed John White as Chairman on 25 January 2018.
