10/4/2018 09:42 | Packaging business is a dog. The filters business will decline with the reduction of smoking worldwide and therefore the Tobacco companies will use their own capacities. Company needs to be broken up and the Conponents business a stand alone piece, as this is where all the profit is generated. Don’t know whether the new CEO has the appetite. More of a steady eddy, rather than the big changes. | uselogic
09/4/2018 22:30 | Packaging is a distressed business Killing it | bartolozzif
09/4/2018 10:49 | Thanks for the view. I don't go anywhere near AIM. | essentialinvestor
09/4/2018 10:42 | CVR directors were buying hundreds of thousands and then two weeks later they went into administration Trap door open on the chart, next stop 280p if it warns | bartolozzif
09/4/2018 10:41 | You think so?. CEO bought another 20,000 shares last week at the market price. From memory that's around 535,000 shares he has bought in less that 12 months. All at the market price, not cheap options- if I am reading the RNS details correctly. I mentioned in the past a rapid recovery from under £4 to over 5.50 did not allow much leeway. It looked like recovery was already priced in on my take. Now back around £4.20, may be more interesting- just my take. | essentialinvestor
09/4/2018 10:28 | negative earnings momentum profit warning coming lads. Get ready | bartolozzif
03/4/2018 14:29 | Back in this AM, multiple director buys. | essentialinvestor
02/3/2018 08:54 | Bought a few near the open. | essentialinvestor
14/8/2017 12:53 | Morning all. Bought a few of these this morning. First time in this company. Didn't buy as a day trade, but taking a longer view. Ticked all the boxes, so we'll see how things go. | penycae
24/2/2017 16:41 | yg, ESNT may be worth more to someone else, and FX on any overseas potential interest is supportive, would be my take fwiw. Have a small indirect holding here through a fund, but wishI had been braver and bought a few myself, that's the way it goes sometimes. | essentialinvestor
24/2/2017 16:38 | To my mind there is very little in the fundamentals to justify the recent strength of the share price Nevertheless, the ownership of this stock is dominated by heavyweight institutions who may well be in process of managing a satisfactory exit for themselves. Certainly a too uncertain game for my blood. | ygor706
21/2/2017 16:33 | To answer my question in post 119 I have found shorttracker.co.uk quoting latest short interest as 4.54% but no recent updates since 19th feb results. Trading volumes have shot up and last three days so far amount to over 14m shares traded equiv. to 5.3% of the issued shares. Normal trade volumes are about 1 million per day so I believe these moves we have seen are failrly soundly based and very positive. Anyone any different views ? | betman
21/2/2017 08:51 | betman, it was on a watch list as per previous posts, looked at Friday's results before the open and tbh did not see great short term upside, got that very wrong!!, well done on your purchase. | essentialinvestor
17/2/2017 16:44 | Essential , thanks , hope you are Long these ? Just relooked at chart, amazing it was over 1000p in 2015. I have watched webcast again and just feel these were too under valued with all the opportunities that the new CEO can exploit. In a way I hope that these arent taken out at a cheap price as I would like to be on these for the ride over the next 3 years On the 31st Jan gordongekko said short position was up to 4.57%. Does anyone know current figure ? I would be amazed if this wasn't considerably down. I see the large short position as a positive as these will be bought back as business improves, amplifying the normal recovery stock buying. | betman
17/2/2017 16:24 | betman, congrats!. | essentialinvestor
17/2/2017 16:06 | wow, all happening now, biggest volume in 5 years, is someone stake building here ? Could be alot of director buying after results. Paul Forman only owns 25000 and Stefan none at all which is disappointing. Hopefully there will be an RNS telling us something. A great end to the week | betman
17/2/2017 13:03 | Worth looking at the webcast on their website, Paul Forman looks very impressive. I think it will take 12 months until we see the impact of him taking over as CEO. The business is sound but has completely lost focus. Some hard work focussing on the detail of the business and a clear stratgey for the future will see improveemnts in performance. I have bought some more for the recovery. I guess there is some squeezing of shorters in todays healthy share price rise. | betman
12/2/2017 15:23 | Well it is going to be an interesting update. | essentialinvestor
08/2/2017 12:44 | At last we seem to be getting a gradual climb away from the two recent lows, the second one higher than the first which is a good sign. The trading update on the 23rd Jan was a profit warning and trigger for the second slide. I certainly wouldnt to be shorting this on a recovery in revenue perf. and sorting out costs, plus currency gains could put a big squeeze on shorters. The Full year results on the 17th February should give us the facts rather than any speculation. I wonder if some good news is sneaking out ?? | betman
31/1/2017 12:19 | Short positions on Essentra Plc have further increased to 4.57% - Marshall Wace amongst the Funds betting on Essentra's demise - this is bad news folks. | gordongekko4
26/1/2017 21:58 | On a watchlist, tempted to have a small amount, but perhaps a re-test of the 2016 lows on the way?. | essentialinvestor
26/1/2017 08:37 | Short positions on ESNT increased to 3.5% yesterday. | masurenguy
24/1/2017 08:54 | Bemused by yesterday's reaction, but that's the market. Outside bid possibility. | essentialinvestor
24/1/2017 08:43 | ESNT going in the direction it deserves today. | bigdazzler
23/1/2017 12:48 | Odd price action today. Its like they didn't issue a downbeat statement for 2017! | salpara111 |
