23/1/2017 09:37 | Yes I'm waiting for the price to steady on the intraday rise and I might then add to my short as that was not pretty reading for longs. | bigdazzler
23/1/2017 08:49 | Can understand some buying as there is an outside bid possibility, however that statement surely has implications for '17 profitability?. The last two months of the year referenced, and no immediate recovery in prospect on that further weakening- if I am reading that correctly. | essentialinvestor
23/1/2017 08:30 | Seems like the recent rise really was a reaction to the appointment of the new CEO. Todays profit warning has brought things back down to earth ! | masurenguy
19/1/2017 12:52 | LOL, well you might be right. Outside bid possibility here, just be mindful of that but you probably already are. | essentialinvestor
21/12/2016 00:53 | Shareprice has increased by nearly 17% over the past month. Is this just a vote of confidence in new CEO Paul Forman, who bought 25,000 shares at 433p just over a week ago, or are they just riding the coat tails of the recent pre-Christmas FTSE rally? | masurenguy
08/12/2016 15:59 | Looks like a technical position is developing here ....... probably driven by short closing ahead of the year end. The share price hasn't been this firm since the first profit warning announcement. | ygor706
22/11/2016 08:21 | Still overvalued staying out for the time. | blueball
21/11/2016 21:49 | tsmith2, Sorry. I just noticed your early question in Posting #46. It was a replay facility available for 30 days: ESNT is one of the stocks on my Watchlist but every time I listen to C. Day, I'm put off by his style of talking. | quickmind
21/11/2016 08:15 | Yes just seen, thought I had missed an opportunity last week. | essentialinvestor
21/11/2016 08:06 | Just the worst news possible this morning. | blueball
16/11/2016 08:34 | Yes just noticed, may be have been braver and bought a small amount, hey ho. | essentialinvestor
16/11/2016 08:14 | Plenty of buying today and yesterday lets see. | blueball
09/11/2016 13:03 | Its bouncing on the back of todays election result. Back to 500p in no time. | blueball
08/11/2016 14:47 | The problem is that if you look at the metrics it is not really that cheap even after a large fall so I'm not sure that it is particularly attractive for T/O yet. I am keeping a close eye but as I said before I wont take a stake until I see the next update. | salpara111
07/11/2016 15:17 | Sal, was tempted last week on the dip below 4.70, and we are again near those level, however it may pay to wait just IMV. I do not see any of the non execs or Chairman adding to holdings at these levels, excluding dividend reinvestments. Might be an outside possibility of a bid, perhaps an overseas buyer given GBP weakness coupled with the share price near these levels, that's just speculative. | essentialinvestor
04/11/2016 11:42 | everything is getting mauled this morning! | salpara111
04/11/2016 11:28 | Getting mauled atm. | essentialinvestor
02/11/2016 11:35 | I can see the potential for an eventual recovery in the SP, however this looks a complex group to manage, just IMV. Take a look at the number of manufacturing sites the business operates from as just one measure of complexity. | essentialinvestor
31/10/2016 08:44 | Great news on new CEO Paul Forman. Part of the slide in share price was attibuted to current CEO wanting to leave. The credentials of this new guy look good so not surprising on share price bounce. Obviously until he starts delivering real growth the jury will be out, but this looks a good start. | betman
11/10/2016 09:18 | This has been quite a roller coaster with the recent fall almost to 470p and now a powerful rally back up to 514p so far. Good recent buy from Standard Life, 2.5 million shares. Share price suggests that this is still a good recovery option and currency tailwinds should help further Looking at the chart these have bottomed out three times and been able to recover quite quickly each time.If the businness can now stabilise and start the path to growth again then a good recovery in the share price should follow Edit I have just checked last 6 RNS holding announcements and they show that Standard Life have increased holding from 26.2 to 34.2 million shares, so a really huge endoresment from them. | betman |
