23/3/2015 08:38 | EM, Thank you for the info in post 296. | shanklin
22/3/2015 18:12 | Thanks BB2 - quite hard to compare the companies but it would seem £1 is certainly not excessive | harrogate
22/3/2015 13:10 | spooky - what was the Elektra deal in the sector? Thanks | harrogate
22/3/2015 10:51 | So for Harwood you could say it's a win/win/win :-o) | spooky
22/3/2015 10:50 | The rising share price may have also forced their hand, as you say spooky it's a win win and even if an offer doesn't materialise we still have a fab little company I'm more than happy to remain invested in. | battlebus2
22/3/2015 10:46 | Is there any chance that there move may be to smoke out another buyer, it looks like a win/win from their point of view. | spooky
22/3/2015 10:10 | I think Schroders with 20% will play a key role here and so I will have a quiet word on Monday. Christopher Mills is quite a tough dealmaker so I prefer a third party or trade buyer coming in to set a price. The share price reached £1 a year ago and trading conditions plus the business itself have actually much improved since then so very close to that would be needed to tempt me out and to suggest a reasonable price exit. | davidosh
22/3/2015 09:18 | Shanks. To answer your question - no. hxxp://www.harwoodpe hxxp://www.harwoodpe I reckon 100p/share would be a fair number for buyers and sellers - but my opinion ain't worth jack :) Schroeders/Hargreave Hale will no doubt be pushing for a fair price. | eezymunny
22/3/2015 09:05 | £1 a share would be cheap compared to Electra's recent purchase in the sector, it would offer value to Harwood Capital and is probably a fair exit for shareholders, so that price definitely won't happen, someone always tries to be too clever. | spooky
22/3/2015 08:56 | Are Harwood Capital completely independent of the directors? Just curious as this is not something I looked at before investing in ESS. | shanklin
21/3/2015 20:33 | 50 million shares at £1 each would be nice but maybe a valuation a little high for Harewood though they do already own a large percentage which helps. | battlebus2
21/3/2015 15:02 | Certainly know where you're coming from regards possible bid - likely to want it on the cheap. | cockerhoop
21/3/2015 15:00 | Yes some strange timing of announcements yesterday, I missed BDI's results/strategic review RNS whilst looking at the eclipse with the family :-) | cockerhoop
21/3/2015 14:30 | Potential bid from Harwood Capital announced after hours last night (they already own 34%) | cockerhoop
20/3/2015 19:12 | Bb2 Nice one but its only moved about 5 percent since the we're for sale rns. | shanklin
20/3/2015 18:39 | Well some of us bought at 65p a couple of weeks back and yesterday they wanted 75p so to me it was movement :)) | battlebus2
20/3/2015 18:31 | What share price movement? It's only up about 6 per cent. | shanklin
20/3/2015 00:51 | There was a feature story in Shares magazine today. | davidosh
20/3/2015 00:00 | Wonder if Schroders have kept accumulating to get over 20%! Always good to see big II stakes when there are "strategic options" being discussed. Makes it easier for a buyer to secure a majority of shares from a small number of IIs before publicly announcing an offer. | boonkoh
19/3/2015 22:56 | Great to see these moving higher today :)) | battlebus2
13/3/2015 07:30 | Snippet on ESS | shanklin
12/3/2015 11:21 | Bought some ESS for the first time. The results look more straightforward to me this time round. And hopefully they will be bought out some time in 2015. | shanklin
12/3/2015 11:06 | Could be a good target for PE. Good cash flow. Assets to secure a debt funded deal. And as you said hard work is over, margins to improve from here on in. | boonkoh |
