22/3/2022 07:11 | "London Southend Airport is well positioned for the recovery and longer-term growth in air travel " But " Wizz Air recently decided not to restart its flights from one destination to London Southend Airport for Summer 2022." and "The Company also continues to have active dialogue with a wide range of airlines with a focus on delivering the right airline agreements for Esken for Summer 2023 onwards. " In other words , they have lots of surplus capacity for the foreseeable future , because the airlines are not returning in volume this year. Maybe next year And still not breaking even on a cash basis so expect cash burn to continue..... | fenners66
18/3/2022 19:43 | Every little helps! | gaffer73
18/3/2022 17:01 | No mention that easyjet have added a new route - Faro twice weekly. slight positive considering they had no flights at all a couple of months ago. | anotherguru
18/3/2022 15:49 | No, it the only thing keeping them going. | gaffer73
18/3/2022 10:55 | Have they not sold the Biomass business yet ? | fenners66
18/3/2022 00:51 | Went to Luton airport yesterday. 45 percent on the morning flights were Wizz air 45percent were EastJet and the remainder Ryanair. They still have plenty of capacity for more flights which doesn't bode well for Southend. They are 6 weeks away from opening the airport, but no sign of any additional airlines being signed up. | lpavlou
07/3/2022 20:55 | High oil prices means higher airline fares and therefore will restrict demand for flights which won't help the airport. The high diesel cost is also going to increase costs at the biomass unit as all deliveries are made by HGVs. Margins will be under pressure here | lpavlou
07/3/2022 16:24 | Good call. | gaffer73
04/3/2022 19:51 | This could go sub 10p next week. Despite the new broker, this is not the environment to raise new cash. They really need to try and get some airline deals soon. | lpavlou
03/3/2022 20:57 | Drax gets most of its pellets from the US where they chop trees down for it, whereas at Esken, 70percent comes from waste construction and the balance from forests. The drax supply form Russia is a tiny proportion of what they use and won't impact them or benefit Esken. Should be done news soon on the airports reopening | lpavlou
02/3/2022 22:11 | "Drax, the company behind the UK's largest power stations, has said it will no longer source biomass from Russia in response to the country's invasion of Ukraine." Good news for Esken potentially. | gaffer73
24/2/2022 19:33 | Airport has to reopen in May to passengers. This will be more costly than keeping the airport closed until there is sufficient business. share price is back where it was at the start of last week, so has got off lightly | lpavlou
24/2/2022 18:17 | That's the first thing I thought too. I don't think they will though, can't see any need to when they had 90m available at half year. | gaffer73
23/2/2022 19:51 | Interesting appointment. Are they going to look to do another fund raise | lpavlou
18/2/2022 20:34 | Very odd price action this afternoon. Not to sure what to make of it. Let's see what happens on Monday. Could be a leak of an airline deal for the airport | lpavlou
18/2/2022 15:21 | On what basis? MNZS different beast | aishah
18/2/2022 14:51 | following MNZS takeover, ESKN next in inline... | vullrich
02/2/2022 20:16 | Agreed Gaffer, airport is opening in May and so far it's only got 2 easyJet planes flying out to Spain | lpavlou
02/2/2022 07:56 | Covid restrictions being lifted and everyone just wanting to get back to normal should help this soon. Need more flights from Southend though. | gaffer73
01/2/2022 20:23 | There is definitely a seller dripping stock onto the market. The good news is that it's not impacting the share price which is hovering between 12 and 13p | lpavlou
01/2/2022 17:02 | Its disappointing, but will be a flyer once this seller has cleared.. WJ. | w1ndjammer
27/1/2022 21:48 | All big investors are shareholders this company | blackhorse23
27/1/2022 20:29 | SP has been stable but will need news for any positive movement. EasyJet advertising flights to Malaga and Majorca only from May, so can't see the airport opening much before then. | lpavlou
27/1/2022 10:25 | Bounce will come anytime! Looking stable ?? | blackhorse23 |
