rns out, Legal and General added some 35m shares in recent placing.
ESG have got a decent bunch of institutions on board here.

Bamboo,

My thinking too! I hope they manage their cross border payments better than their cross border communications.

someu, yes there is an irony there, given the nature of the business.

Another potential turn on the chart today, didn't mention it earlier, since the last couple didn't materialise. :-/

Got placing shares in a/c yesterday.

Surely in this day and age there's a better way to transmit financial information than a blurry unreadable fax!

Anyway, looks like someone has increased their holding.

Strong retail take of 75% per announcement on the ASX (£2.54m) & remainder not taken up (£850k) placed with an institutional holder per clawback agreement.

Full £24m raised.

Kind regards,
GHF

You're welcome Celeritas. Those figures, as I mentioned in my post, are for 2018, 2019 and 2020 and are for HomeSend. The forecasts go out for the next 6 years, but as we all know, brokers struggle to get the next year right let alone 5 or 6 years out.I use the forecasts as indicative of what could happen and my view is that, on ESG's current rating, there is plenty of margin for error.Of course ESG have very little input in terms of meeting those forecasts. That's down to Mastercard, which many will view as a good thing, esp given Mastercards recent pr's on HomeSend, where they have waxed lyrical. They certainly seem keen, and why not, given the near term profitability and substantial profits in the medium term.

Thanks for your reply astralvision.
I will check into that 35% figure and the corresponding profits, quite significant as it will ratchet up with just a little more volume.
Do you know the forecasted timescale for those figures?
The company do have a habit of missing guidance but isn't a trading update due soon.

These raisings have a canny habit of knocking on the door of the issue price so I do expect esg to hang around here or closer to 9p until the churn is finished.

Monitise was ruined by Lukies who thought he could walk on water. Yes Visa were a main backer but then swiftly pulled the plug all of a sudden. At the time the cfo sold a shed load of shares just 3 days before.
I have been invested in esg some years back so am still very much up to date in what they do. These cash calls from MasterCard dont excite me but I do have esg on close watch.
I'd like more meat on the bone regarding Homesend. What does $3 to $5b in annual volume mean for esg, how does it feed through, plenty of big numbers before a raising makes me skeptical as it was also the case with Monitise.

Saying all this I am open minded, its just once bitten makes me wary.

CeleritasNot that familiar with Monitise? Weren't they the lot that were almost totally dependent on one customer and then when they pulled the plug they were snookered? If I'm correct-ish, then this is a very different kettle of fish. As MFC has so eloquently pointed out, Mastercard are in the driving seat and they don't come too much bigger than that. Mastercards customers are numerous and global, think Hasting's interview talked of 2,000 financial institutions who are customers of Mastercard.Give or take. So, other than they are both in FinTech , I'm not sure I see too many/any parallels?

MFCRe 'tanking' last time I looked it was 3% down!sp holding well above the 9p placing price. Clearly some folks tempted with a quick profit, nothing wrong in that and also gives other a chance for cheapie shares, so all good news.More 'tanking' please.
