No gold at Klippen, but Brannberg looking very positive.

Drilling continuing apace in IReland, ao hopefully, some drill results by end of July 2018 ?

That is the interesting bit of Erris, as far as I am concerned. Could well be a Company-Maker, or destroyer ! Gold in Sweden is a Sideshow.

If Erris cud prove up just 5m tonnes of Zinc at Abbeytown, that would throw out an annual post OPEX sum of over 600p per share, over a 10 year mine life, assuming 31m shs in issue. That could be paid as a Special Dividend and is indicative of Y I am in Erris.

IF the Abbeytown deposit stretches all the way over to "Skreen", 15km away, (which it might) that would be a World Class deposit comparable to the Tara Mine at Navan, owned by Boliden. They also have spare process plant capacity there.....

Recent licence acquisitions make sense.

Only need the share price to catch up now - it looks pretty dreadful on a 3 month view - post IPO.

Drilling results from Abbeytown , hopefully towards end of 2nd Quarter will hopefully make a difference.

Had a short conversation with CEO recently, in which he indicated that everything is basically on track, although Ireland has had bad weather which delayed them a little on the start of drilling, as per merlin's recent Proactive investors Podcast. They are now up and drilling , however.

That's right 5 Chipper - all looking for the Next Lisheen or Tara mine, but most things found to date have been either too deep (Pallas Green) or too small (Connemara).

Erris's Irish Zinc deposit is interesting because it is off the main NE/SW Zinc trend and nobody has ever really bothered to drill that NW part of Ireland Properly. If there is a link between Skreen Hill and Abbeytown , it could be VERY interesting indeed, and might be sumthing along the lines of the Galmoy/Lisheen deposits, which shud really hav been mined as one mine and not two, by one Co. It's also possible that there cud b copper under the Abbeytown base layer. Drilling will prove , or disprove that.

The new Galway Licences cud also b interesting as nobody has ever really drilled there before, yet the new Irish Govt Sponsored Aeromag survey shows interesting results in that part of Ireland and the Company Geologist (Aidan Lavelle) is very familiar with that part of the World, having been Educated at Galway University.

All in all, a decent initial scenario for an exploration company - and the Cos Directors have a reputation of NOT messing about, or being "Lifestyle" people - unlike many BOD's in the AIM Junior Mining Sector , and in Irish Mining in Particular !! ( hav a look at CON and CGNR to see wot happens when BOD's really don't care !).

To be honest, a quick Google search for 'zinc prospects in Ireland' throws up rather a lot of companies prospecting for the next big zinc find in Ireland.

A quick list includes some big names with projects being explored -

Group 11
Glencore
Hannan
Zinc Of Ireland
Connemara
Erris

Interesting article about a recently listed (in Canada) exploration company called Group Eleven. The article claims that Group Eleven has the 2nd largest zinc prospect in Ireland, behind a project owned by Glencore.

Difficult to evaluate Erris's projects in comparison as there is little info prior to drilling.

Interesting to learn that Ireland is Europe's largest zinc producer with 3 active mines which seem to be nearing end of production. So for sure govt will be keen to get new zinc infrastructure up and running.

Seems to me that Erris's value, for the time being, lies in the Swedish gold. Considering they have partnered with one large gold company to develop plus have another large gold mine as a major shareholder.

David Hall & Jeremy Martin at Minorco and Thani Stratex & Horizonte Minerals, David Brown at Anglo American (UK MD) & Private Finnish Grpahite Co, he's just sold, and Merlin Marr Johnson at Rio Tinto, HSBC, Blakeney Asset Management and Palladex, plus Tavistock Communications. I don't really know the 3 Finance Guys, but their Cv's look OK. They are there to raise money, I guess.

Nasty old price drop from the IPO price mind - I wonder if we will see any supportive Director's buying ? ! Ho Ho Ho.

Woof Woof ( that's my enthusiastic dog impression), a la Donald Sutherland, as "Oddball"

Good time to buy loose and cheap stock, whilst the bored IPO crew are getting out.

Management Team outstanding.

Bored initial small shareholders have got out recently, to chase the next best thing ?! Can buy at 23p at present.

Interesting buying opportunity for long-termers, with an eye on a potentially ground-breaking new Zinc area in NW Ireland.

Yep, it's Merlin Marr Johnson and David Hall's new vehicle to find Zinc in Ireland and Gold in Sweden. Decent BOD, who know wot they are doing, with only 31m shares in issue, unlike SOME multi billion share issuing AIM Miners I can mention !

I went to the Irish Site Vist in Sligo and it lukked pretty good. Underneath an existing limestone quary, so you can see the mineralisation in the quarry bottom, . The Infilled breccia's on the surface lukked to be absolutely full of ZN / Pb. There's supposed to be quite a lot of silver, and even perhaps copper under the base Zinc Layer.

The other Zinc area at Skreen, 15 km away, could well be linked to the Abbeytown deposit, in which case you cud have a Galmoy/Lisheen type deposit, which yielded over 20m tons over 20 years. That's wot they are currently drilling to try and find out. That cud b a "Company-Maker".

The Swedish Gold is de-risked for Erris, as Centerro is fronting all of the drilling costs and can earn up to a 70% stake in the project. They hav already had some interesting core samples from historical work , apparently, and its in Sweden's proven "Gold Belt".

Not a Company ever likely to take things into production, but one that will explore, prove things up, then sell them on, hopefully for the future production of "Special Dividends" for shareholders.

This looks interesting. If Centerra Gold is prepared to back the swedish venture to the tune of nearly 2 million dollars in 2018 then it must have great confidence in the potential.Speculative of course but a big winner if they strike gold.
