23/7/2002 15:32 | sputnick, That is a partial solution, as is using the newsmon - but that has its problems too. I should say that the reason I started this thread was that StewJames started one on the FBB and it jogged my memory. It would be such a useful feature for all users. I would appreciate some comments from the boffins at AFN? | mrgaribaldi
23/7/2002 15:26 | sputnick - this is true and useful for the fools, but doesn't cover other problems. if you don't care about QXL and never want to see their threads then you would have to filter lots of posters, you would also lose their other, non QXL posts. mrgaribaldi's way means that you lose the epic but keep the poster. | mr_phil
23/7/2002 15:19 | mrgaribaldi If you filter the person out who started the thread , the whole thread is removed. Sputnick | sputnick
23/7/2002 14:36 | It would be nice to have some feedback from AFN about this, I have mailed them in the past but had no repliy. | mrgaribaldi
23/7/2002 14:28 | Smoketrader, Even worse than QXL, it amazes me that on the FBB they still manage to talk all day about companies that have gone bust, JUS and now EGS. Some people just cant let go and move on, very sad. | slacker
23/7/2002 13:48 | Filtering by epic codes is one of THE BEST ideas I have heard in a LONG time. Over to you, advfn. | errol6429
23/7/2002 13:18 | i agree, that's a good idea. if it is implemented how about making it board specific - ie you can block (say) QXL threads on both boards or only the FBB or the PBB. that way you could miss the 4862 worthless QXL threads on the FBB, but if one turned up on the PBB you could still see it. | mr_phil
23/7/2002 13:13 | Exactly, then you have a BB without the shares you really could not care less about, it is then personalised for each user. | mrgaribaldi
23/7/2002 13:10 | That's a very good idea! QXL ACA for starters! | indalo
27/5/2001 15:31 | Where is the file matching epic to full name? In particular, to find the indexes. - S. Thanks | scwlscwl
08/5/2001 23:30 | Sounds nasty --- is there a cure ? | wc1
08/5/2001 18:46 | On the news monitor someone has mentioned 'PYRRHOTITE' - did a bit of research into this over the weekend at the conference with other delegates and Minmet followers: We came to the decision that this could well be to do with the 19th hole and a vein of possibly platinum has been located - could be wrong but there you go thats my 3d worth !! | denrum1
22/1/2001 16:22 | Yonks ago I requested a simple facility to keep track of EPIC changes. This is because it is sometimes a pig to find the new ones. I did say that it was not a high priority but it would be nice to know if it has made its way onto the "Do eventually list"; please. Regards cynic | cynic
22/1/2001 16:13 | Trawler: You been on the sherbert! | sardine
22/1/2001 16:12 | Trawler, it is not a no. This is on our to-do list. It has not been forgotten. Thanks, T. | tomj
22/1/2001 16:05 | Good point but not good enough it seems. I'll take that as a no then. | trawler

08/1/2001 12:06 | Good point Trawler. I trust that ADVFN might update the PFA now MMC chart as some interesting action has just started on Thursday and continued into Friday. | sardine
05/1/2001 14:22 | MONI (formerly MNI) graphs were fixed quickly. | stustu
05/1/2001 14:15 | Probably not! | swingclub
05/1/2001 14:08 | I notice that when a company changes its name and EPIC such as PFA recently became MMC and MYX became EFX all continuity is lost on threads, quotes and graphs. Can this be put right? | trawler |
