29/7/2021 11:12 | edit - links updated Bomfin I agree that on the face of it this looks too high. It took quite a bit of digging to get at the details. My initial source was HL, note they used ‘net interest’ which I paraphrased to ‘net debt interest’. hxxps://www.hl.co.uk Both terms are misleading, ENQ use the all encompassing ‘finance expense, less finance income’ as in the Financial Return for 2020. hxxps://www.enquest. See p125 P/L account, also p133 note 3 Segmental Analysis, for UK and Malaysia. The detail is on p138 note 6. The big numbers are: Loan Interest $32.8m, Bond Interest $73.5m, Finance Charge on Leases $50.9m, Unwinding of Discount on Decommissioning $15.3m (note 23 p158 Provisions), and Finance Costs on Contingent Consideration $77.3m (Note 22 p157 Contingency Consideration, relates to purchase of Magnus). While not all these costs are cash outflow today they are obligations for future payments. Cash flow from operations needs to be a lot higher for longer than many posters have indicated in order to reach the promised land. There are good reasons why the share price is not higher. | grahamg8

29/7/2021 09:29 | Good results from Shell highlighting that oil companies are cheap. ENQ right at the top of the list IMO | heialex1

28/7/2021 20:24 | Lol dear oh dear, a bunch of rope a dope lemming investors. Sell ENG and buy TLW. Ok said my bit, now you lot keep away from trying to ramp ENQ over on the TLW boards. Good luck! | fizzmiss
28/7/2021 19:46 | Thanks Graham8. That interst figure seems high. Can you link to it ? | bomfin
28/7/2021 18:32 | Well, I did warn you all, TLW up and ENQ crashed today. Enq has been ramped and pumped up just ready to pop and be shorted down. Well ramped up fat turkey this one. Sell and Buy TLW and don't get rope a doped | fizzmiss
28/7/2021 17:10 | Net debt interest last year was $255.9m. Agreed this should fall as debt reduces. But Capex of $120m seems unsustainably low. More money needs to be spent on getting the stuff out of the ground otherwise the economic reserves will run out. Survival oil price looks like >$35/bbl which apart from the crash around Covid 1st lockdown seems achievable. Two more bumpy years ahead. | grahamg8
28/7/2021 15:05 | ENQ in a vastly better position in regards to debt. TLW seem to be out of danger, but they paid a lot for certainty | heialex1
28/7/2021 11:53 | fizzmiss As long as oil stays up TLW should do ok but with over $10 a barrel of interest payments to make they had better pay some of it off during the good times! Enquest will refinance the Bonds soon yes, but at 5% or better after paying off a chunk watch and see. | bricklayer
28/7/2021 07:40 | Re-finance and more refinance that's what you will get with ENQ, stick with TLW IMHO. Plus its overripe for a mega short, TLW has been shorted to the bone, and not much left to naw at. This is being pumped up by every man and his dog ready for a mega dump and crash IMHO. Your choice really but dirty sewer rats are throwing the kitchen sink at TLW to try and get the share price lower to get out. But it's too late, it's been hammered to the floor. | fizzmiss
27/7/2021 22:05 | So mulling over the sell Tullow, buy Enquest Arb. As I don`t short I can`t do it but may be money made for those who have no qualms destroying value and potentially putting others out of work. Anyways. Analysing those likely costs per barrel figures and I see that Opex last year was $330 million and projected Opex for this year is $265 million. So this almost equalizes to $15/barrel for both years because of different levels of production. Possibly no cuts there. Savings from last years $32/barrel break even could come from the reductions in staff costs ongoing through last year but in place before start of this year, Slightly less Capex which I believe is incorporated in last years $32/ barrel figure and reducing interest payments as debt reduces. As such I think that break even figure this year will surprise on the downside. Anyone with further info on how much went out on interest payments last year I shall be grateful. An extra £3/barrel free cash flow is a furter £50 million debt reduction for the year and further reductions on break even/barrel price. | bomfin

26/7/2021 19:39 | Jefferies, what a lemming gullible investor you are? who the hell is Jeffries, can't you see what they are doing? Here is a free lesson for you. They are ramping and pumping whilst you mugs buy they will sell, leaving you mugs holding an over-inflated turkey. They have turned over TLW time and time again, with nothing left on the bone. But with ENQ, wow wow wow. If they say buy then I say sell and run for the hills and buy TLW. Jeffries: | fizzmiss
