Oil in splendid form . How long before we retest the year highs ? Surely that is the first target . I did say I wanted 30 for this summer . Still a good way to go but Brent is playing it's part

Sadly the banks will still want it ! They (OO share placment) costs ENQ money , so a nice little earner for the banks.Part of their profit/fees calculation for the deal.
I don't see any part of the deal changing.

Even though they don't need a placing it will be upto the banks and the new RBL terms as to whether they have to do one or not.

Also ammu9, You say that a deal is a deal, Well, of course it is. Exactly why Suncor won`t be upping the price. Nor will they be able to demand that Enquest issue shares to pay for it and further why would they ? Your post got 5 likes, lol, lol, lol. Says a lot that does.

I don`t think it quite works like that. I think the placing was more about placating Enquest`s lenders. The cash flow should have already done that. We shall see.

I think you will find that they have to do the placing.A deal is a deal after all. These deals go down as agreed. Otherwise you would get Suncor wanting to change and up the selling price of Golden Eagle.

Re the point about possibly not needing a placing to clear the GEAD deal. I believe cash flow from the GEAD is £15 million ahead of projections for the 27% to be acquired and cash flow from the existing business is £60 million ahead of projections so far this year. The placing was/is to be for a value of around £36 million at current exchange rate. They don't need it but may still do it in my opinion.

And ENQ, while often frustrating to watch, can move incredibly quickly once it starts... it doubled to 25p earlier in the year in less than two months and I seem to recall a couple of years ago it moved from 20p to 30p in a matter of weeks.Clearly it can also come back down very quickly as well when it turns, but let's take advantage of the move up for now!

Absolutely. I'm just surprised it hasn't re-rated more yet. Surely 25p is on the cards is oil holds current levels

§ Hedged c.9.0 MMbbls of oil for 2021 with an average floor price of c.$59/bbl and an average ceiling price of $68/bbl

So.......Whats that ? Roughly 50% of production (Not including Golden Eagle) hedged at between $59 and $68 with the remaining 50% sold at market prices.

Havent had time to do any calculations but I wonder what the free cash flow will be for 2021 ? Net debt levels come year end ? etc etc...

Gotta be a whole lot better than 2020 !

Considering the strong oil prices since the deal was struck, Does anyone think there is a possibility the acquisition could be financed without the equity issue?

Well it is interesting if nothing else, as we know the serial bedwetter onedb and the gaslighter tried every which way to link enqs share price to brentwith each cycle of oil prices over the last few years enquest found itself more disconnected than everi find it astonishing that this pattern is still intact, but here we are with brent at 71 and enq at 18, has the disconnect ever been wider?surely it cant persist?

The rising trend from November is intact with average. 1.5p/share price gain per month since then. Ammu 9 mentioned positive cash per month of £40 million. I agree, though have it a little higher. If anyone knows of a better opportunity. Any company making money this quickly relative to their market cap and yes even (market cap + debt) please let me know.
