RNS Number:0648Q Eurocity Properties PLC 29 August 2000 EUROCITY SELLS PROPERTY INVESTMENTS FOR #1m Eurocity Properties plc ("Eurocity"), the AIM listed property company run by Baron Bloom, today announces the sale of two retail property investments to Newport Holdings plc ("Newport") for a total consideration of #1,004,636, satisfied as to #880,000 in cash and the remainder in 99,704 new ordinary shares of Newport shares. Comprising three shop units in Bexhill and Paignton the investments produce a total annual rent of #87,525 from New Look plc, which occupies shops in both locations and Grand Metropolitan Estates Ltd which owns a lease on one of the Bexhill units. All three shops have leases that expire in 2015.
