17/6/2009 09:57 | Slap: World thermal coal prices have gone up 30% this year. Brtitish government have nailed their colours to the energy mast and are going down coal route. Take a look at earlier PB quote as to what good value EBG are. Their true worth will eventually be recognised by the market. Join the ride... | lasata
17/6/2009 08:18 | last year update was early July: 03 Jul, 2008 RNS Energybuild Group (EBG) Pre-Close Trading Statement Don't see how they can update in June when their full-year only ends at the end of June. Key element is Coal prices. Are they managing to cope with the downturn better than most??? AT some coal price this whole thing is uneconomic.... don't know whether we have hit that level or not?? GOOD VOLUME AND RISING PRICES. A good sign but long-term it is only the fundamentals that will make it fly.... long wait until full-year results unfortunately... Not great to have a near 10% bid ask spread though!!!!!!!!!!!! Slap | slapdash
17/6/2009 08:07 | Slap: i thought june for update but you maybe right. Volume: usually good sign when it increases with this share. | lasata
16/6/2009 18:06 | lot of volume today... about 400,000..... highest for some months I think.... most seems to be buys but hard to tell Slap | slapdash
15/6/2009 17:18 | I think update is in July isn't it... will merely be a trading update on how much production is at the current time as a way of indicating what full year results to be announced in Aug/Sept will be like Slap | slapdash
15/6/2009 13:26 | I wonder what June update may show...... | lasata
12/6/2009 16:09 | PB: i agree too | lasata
12/6/2009 16:04 | EBG breaking out on the charts and joining in stablemates CBM/WTN party. Both of those are up 25% today | lasata
12/6/2009 12:37 | pb. here here. | brian1944
12/6/2009 10:30 | You're forgetting that EBG has licences to develop other projects. Besides the proven reserves of 8m tons it has rights over an inferred coal resource 36.2m tonnes. Far from diminishing, EBG's assets are set to grow massively. | pbracken
12/6/2009 10:22 | pbraken - you forget that mines are a wasting asset.. only so much coal....NPV for this I think was calculated at £80m...IF PRODUCTION TARGETS ARE MET... i.e. after a while the coal runs out.... slap | slapdash
12/6/2009 10:19 | EBG is set to become spectacularly profitable. They'll be making well over £20 a ton on 770K tons in 18 months - do the maths. SEYP is forecasting earnings of 16p a share. Only a lowly p/e of 5 that equates to 80p a share. Easily one of the best commodity bets on the exchange. | pbracken
12/6/2009 10:06 | lasata - just wondering why his last company didn't work out???? Also just a fairly simple question.... why Welsh coal now???? I thought it was all uneconomic and so forth and that is why production was shut in the 80's.... Thanks, Slap | slapdash
12/6/2009 09:54 | Looks like there maybe someone nibbling here... | lasata
11/6/2009 15:52 | slapdash - dont believe that is true. he is a top man and i have met him. See how well the parent comapanies - CBM/WTN are doing now EBG will soon follow and update expected shortly | lasata
11/6/2009 10:37 | what about the CEO here.... his last company went under as I recall.... coal in Wales again.... why will it be different this time... don't get me wrong haven't done lots of research just often once a bankrupt always a bankrupt... look at Oakdene homes where the guy there had a company that went under in the 90's and he has done it again recently.. I think mistake is they can be too ambitious and overexpand on the basis of permanent bull market conditions....also have little conception of risk... i.e. certain type of CEO Slap | slapdash
11/6/2009 09:55 | thermal coal market steadily improving as it it is increasingly competitive with rising oil price | lasata
10/6/2009 23:21 | apparently RIO settled for I think about 54% reduction in price in coal but I think that was metarulurgical coal.... these guys do thermal coal.... anyone know of recent price movements there??? Slap | slapdash
01/6/2009 08:25 | good article - thank you | lasata
30/5/2009 21:15 | New article; | andy
29/5/2009 19:27 | FWIW, Seymour is forecasting EPS of 2.7p this year, 5p in 2010 and 16p in 2011. Cheap by any standards, were EBG to meet expectations. | pbracken
29/5/2009 19:19 | Thanks for the link jonwig. I'm returning my attention to EBG having divested of CBM. This gem deserves some serious (and overdue) consideration (on my part, that is). | pbracken
29/5/2009 19:11 | Very upbeat article from Proactive Investors: | jonwig
29/5/2009 17:17 | slap - of course they have capex ... how do you expand production from nuffink to 440,000t to 770,000t? Lasata - I haven't read the WTN circular in detail, but it's not a valuation, I think. | jonwig
29/5/2009 16:28 | Looking at their interms.... lots of capital expenditure in the cashflow... appeared to have about £3m operating cashflow but also had about £3m capex... so nothing left over.... hmmm.. Slap | slapdash |
