Engie oscillates since 14 September in an extremely narrow corridor 14,2 / 14,45E: a consolidation seemed to be starting under a medium-term oblique support which gravitates towards 14,3E (14) , 21E lower this Thursday) but the title reverses totally the steam and passes over 14.4E in a few hours: the evolution of the title seems tightly controlled, in 'algorithmic camisole' mode.

The break of the 14.2E could lead to the 14E and then the 13.7E test.

Paris (Agefi-Dow Jones) - The dark days are moving away for Engie on the Stock Exchange and it is partly to the State that the energy-economist owes it. As much as the previous sale of shares of the public shareholder in January, at the limit of the sell-off, had plumbed the course, as well as Tuesday strongly supports it.

Since its announcement, the value has gained about 6.3% and continued its rise Friday at the beginning of the session. Since its February low, it has regained some 36%.

This return to grace promises all the more so that, traditionally, a listed group whose shareholder is notoriously outgoing is "capped" on the stock market by the threat of placing securities regularly on the market. However, in the case of Engie, there is no such thing: an enlargement of the free float on the contrary rather salivates investors.

They noted that the discount granted by the State to sell its 111 million shares at 13.80 euros did not exceed 1.25% against 4.4% in the pitiful auction in January. This means that for those who have subscribed, the gain exceeds 6.5%.

However, the time to abandon all prudence on the value did not sound. In line with the objectives posted by the management at the beginning of the year, the half-year results are correct while deserving confirmation.

The good news is that at 5 billion euros, the gross operating surplus is stable, and even growing organically. This better reflects the approach of the term of the sale program of 15 billion euros announced.

90% of this figure was realized in the new activities, proof that the shift towards gas, renewable energies and services is more than committed. A Engie now to show that its reinvestments in other activities are financially relevant.

In response to the government's sale of shares on Wednesday evening, Engie said it had undertaken to acquire 11.1 million of the shares of the company, concurrently with the accelerated institutional placement and subject to its completion. (0.46% of the share capital).

The energy group specifies that this acquisition of its own shares will be made at the price per share that will result from the accelerated institutional placement procedure implemented by the French State.

These shares will be allocated to the employee savings schemes planned to involve employees as much as possible in the conversion of Engie, which will also limit the dilution associated with these operations.

Engie: the State launches the sale of 4.1% of the capital!

(Boursier.com) - The government launched Tuesday its program of corporate share sales, confirmed the day before by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. The French state has announced that it has sold 99.9 million shares of the Engie energy group, representing 4.1% of its capital, which is expected to generate approximately 1.4 billion euros at the stock exchange price of the Engie action.

At the end of the operation, the State's participation should be reduced to approximately 24.55% of the capital. The State had already sold 4.1% of Engie's capital last January, and held 28.65% of it before the new sale announced on Tuesday, which is via an "accelerated institutional placement".

The State will retain more than one-third of Engie's voting rights

The State Investment Agency (APE) said in a statement that after the deal, the state "remains the reference shareholder" of Engie. It will thus hold, "within the time limit stipulated by the law (...) aiming at reconquering the real economy, more than a third of the voting rights" of Engie, and will continue to accompany the group in its strategic transformation, "added the EPA.

Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy, had indicated in early July that the sale of state shares in several public companies would take place "from September onwards". The State intends to feed a fund of 10 billion euros dedicated to investments in innovative technologies.

On Monday, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe confirmed the program, stating that "no business will be sold in full, it will rather be sales of shares."

(Boursier.com) - The GNVERT group - Van Hool will deploy the first hydrogen bus line in France, in Pau. François Bayrou, president of the community of Pau Béarn Pyrenees, made this choice public for the creation of a bus line "zero emission". It will be commissioned by the transport companies SMTU-PPP and STAP from September 2019, between the hospital and the railway station of Pau.

For the first time in France, hydrogen conquered public transport. Fueled by hydrogen from renewable sources, eight high-level service buses (BHNS) will be rolling in the streets of Pau within two years, as part of a market combining SMTU-PPP, Engie, Van Hool and ITM Power. They constitute the keystone of the new transport network conceived by the agglomeration palais within its global urban redevelopment project aimed at improving the perception and uses of public spaces.

François Bayrou explains: "The Pau Béarn Pyrenees conurbation chooses hydrogen innovation for a 'zero emission' solution and transforms a daily mode of transport into an environmental and human project."
