22/12/2015 12:37 | cmon EMR, let's push on through a quid properly.... | qs99
10/12/2015 22:59 | It seems the answer with stops is that there is no right answer all of the time! Their are times they'd have saved me some big losses and times I'd have been stopped out by a drop that proved to be righted on an intra day basis. I think that it's best to remain objective but flexible. Dibbs | dibbs
10/12/2015 16:23 | hi hazl - will do - I haven't checked the thread for a while. Will try and find time tomorrow | dasv

10/12/2015 11:06 | I agree with both of your comments Dibbs and Doobz this am. In terms of stop losses, this is tricky, as if a PI had recently bought in and set this at say 83p it would have probably been executed, and then the price ticks up. Is a tricky one, and I think stops do have a place, but probably best suited to momentum stocks, or more speculative stocks. | imranawan
10/12/2015 10:49 | Although I agree with Dibbs, in my experience the frequency of sharp intraday drops has increased in the last 1-2 years. Makes you wonder about the usefulness of stop losses in today's market | doobz
10/12/2015 10:43 | Personally I don't buy this blame the market makers line that is used so often on these boards. Quite a few shares have fallen significantly in recent days so some people will be getting margin calls on spread bet accounts. EMR is not the most liquid stock so a few sells can trigger stop losses and a steep slide. A couple of hundred thousand traded is reasonable volume here.Uptrend remains intact and fundamentals are good so nothing to worry about IMO.Dibbs | dibbs
10/12/2015 09:38 | Scandalous all the same. Seeing this happen so often now - how are they getting away with it??? | melf

07/12/2015 13:32 | Good read across from HVN which reported strong trading in USA and Germany. We're still lowly rated compared to the likes of MPI, HAS and STHR. dyor | aishah
25/11/2015 09:39 | Another well known PI is also selling down, to buy back hopefully later. | pj 1
25/11/2015 09:26 | Blimey - a well timed sale! Only had a few. Maybe publishing the Hardman broker report was not such a good idea after all? | topvest
25/11/2015 09:22 | Looks like you have some followers topvest.!!!! Long term hold for me | pj 1
25/11/2015 09:10 | Top vest - which others do you hold ? | little minx
25/11/2015 08:08 | Well I've decided to take my profit here and move on whilst the going is good. Bought at 66p in April and only intended to hold relatively short-term. The news flow has all been very positive and the share has effectively finished their re-rating in my view. A forward P/E of 10-11 is about right for this business as it's not as valuable as some better critical mass recruiters. Debt is high and the dividend is minimal. Still at the top of the StockRanks, which is why I bought in the first place (along with the Caledonia overhang clearing) but gains from this point are likely to be more pedestrian in my view. Still scope for share price momentum to take it higher, but I would have thought 120p or so is top-end. Good luck to those that remain. | topvest
24/11/2015 18:24 | Report out. | hibberts
18/11/2015 11:04 | The 125p TP was before the acquision. Surely will be revised in due course. | melf
18/11/2015 10:42 | great thanks for that Fellipe....decent year on year growth then being forecast....think the trackers also buying have helped momentum.. | qs99
18/11/2015 10:39 | Panmure Gorden 17-11-2015 2015 - eps 9.02p 2016 - 9.93p Div - 0.70p each year They had a 125p tp, back in early Sept.....now well justified. f | fillipe |
