We live in hope of a French rethink!

Yes - seems quite hopeful. Also looks as if the fracking ban will only be temporary.

Could be next well if NS continues to languish.

Assuming DECC prior approval they anticipate spudding the exploration well in H1 2012.

When can we realistically expect a drill at Tiger?

Er, no.

When I have nothing material to add, I read only.

Good news indeed. Ross not taking French stance lying down. Been a long wait for Tiger farmout and now for a drill.

The hope is that given the extent of shale gas deposits in France the moratorium on fracking will eventually be lifted and/or alternative means of extraction will be found. But conventionally trapped hydrocarbons seem to offer other options according to the last Moselle update:

'The studies have however already identified opportunities to re-enter
wells drilled on the Permit in the mid-1990's. If this were to prove feasible, it would provide an early opportunity to test intervals of conventionally trapped hydrocarbons that appear to have been overlooked in past exploration activities.'

It's not good news but they seem to have other options with the Moselle Permit.

GOM production not worth selling at current gas prices. Best to hold it for a few years and hope Gas price picks up a wee bit...

Next major news seems to be set for late summer re Moselle. A waiting game again but hopefully should retest recent high. Would imagine they'd have to raise some money to move Moselle forward, perhaps sell off their usa producing assets? would this raise enough?
