21/10/2009 08:47 | Latest from ELP re' shares and Selftrade:- Dear Mr xxxxxx, Thank you for your email of 16 October. I am sorry to hear that you are still having difficulties in dealing with your shareholding in the company. Computershare have confirmed that all issuer sponsored statements (ie. a document similar to a share certificate) have been posted to the addresses for each shareholder (as advised to the company and recorded in the shareholder register). In your case, Selftrade administers all of the accounts it operates on behalf of clients through a nominee called "L R Nominees". It will be to the address of L R Nominees that the issuer sponsored statement will have been sent by Computershare. If Sefltrade cannot locate this certificate, it will be due to the fact that they have lost/misplaced it, rather than it not having been sent to them. As mentioned in my email of 20 July, we suggest that as Selftrade has no capacity to trade securities on the ASX, that you request Selftrade remove your Elixir shareholding from their nominee account and have the shares re-registered in your name. A form should be available on the Selftrade website to do this. This will cause a new issuer sponsored certificate to be issued by Computershare which will be in your name and delivered to the address you will have advised in the transfer request. With the new issuer sponsored certificate, you can then approach any broker who is able to trade securities on the ASX. As described in the covering letter to UK shareholders, Elixir has established an arrangement with WH Ireland who has a relationship with an Australian broker which will allow your securities to be traded on the ASX. Please note that if you choose to use WH Ireland, you will need to become a WH Ireland client in order to trade your Elixir shares (which will involve completing a "know your client form" and other documentation). The contact at WH Ireland is: WH Ireland Plc 5th Floor 24 Martin Lane London EC4R 0DR Contact: Mr John Molynuex (+44) (0) 207 220 1666 | soulsauce

16/10/2009 19:18 | Well done Soul. I will do likewise. Am also thinking of removing my portfolio to another broker. OK their charges are reasonble but their service is poor, sometimes very poor. | drewz
16/10/2009 17:56 | I have received an email from D J Charmichael, the Ozzie arm of WH Ireland:- Dear xxxxxxx You need to request for Selftrade to withdraw your holding from the pooled nominee onto an SRN, this process should not take longer than a couple of weeks. They are the only people that can do this as they have control of the nominee and the stock, unfortunately I can't do anything else to help. If you still don't get anywhere I suggest that you threaten to write to the FSA. I will be doing both and complaining to the Ombudsman. | soulsauce
15/10/2009 13:26 | They seem to believe we will eventually receive holding statements from the ELP registrar in Australia - Computershare - but I have written to both Selftrade and Computershre in Perth WA and Computershare wrote back to say they cannot issue us with individual holding statements as the shares are held in a pooled nominee account in Selftrade's name so Selftrade need to give them the details of our individual holdings. I have told Selftrade this via email and asked them to get on with it. | drewz
15/10/2009 13:20 | drewz agree. | soulsauce |
