I received a similar response but the bit about listing on the ASX is absolute cobblers, as we know it is already listed, and they apologised to me for that.
It is obvious Selftrade do not have a clue what they are doing re' this stock.

Selftrade are so useless - I think we need to report them to the Financial Ombudsman as being "unfit for purpose" in administering the basic requirements of nominee share accounts.

They don't understand what they are doing, employ people who are ignorant of the basics and so give out false and inaccurate information and invariably they fail to be proactive in servicing accounts where there are changes in listing as here with ELP.

For those who were holding via Selftrade, please see below a reply to my letter re my ELP holding:

Dear Sir

I write further to your letter received 24 August 2009, regarding Elixir Petroleum.

Your complaint has been investigated in line with our internal complaint procedures.

I have spoken to the manager of the Corporate Actions team regarding the current situation with Elixir Petroleum. He informed me that we expect this stock to list on the Australian stock exchange in due course. As the market does not provide stock certificates it is likely that you will receive a stock holding statement for the shares held at the time of delisting from AIM. However, the company are yet to confirm whether UK holders of the stock will be receiving a holding statement upon re-listing.

From previous experience we know that the completion of these processes, the listing and the providing of holding statements, can take a long time, often exceeding six months.

I apologise for the delay and any inconvenience experienced. When we receive any significant further update on this Corporate Action we will inform clients immediately. Please continue to monitor your secure message box for any important information.

I trust the above is satisfactory. This letter is deemed to be our final response. However, if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your complaint, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service (?FOS?), an independent dispute resolution scheme which operates according to the rules laid down by our regulator, the Financial Services Authority. Please note that if you wish to refer your complaint to the FOS you must do so within six months.

Fortunately, time is not a great problem for sorting out the paperwork, in my case at least, as I don't expect ELP to be worth selling for several years yet - if it ever does get its act together.

They seem to lurch from one disappointing failure to another. Still no sign of any North Sea action...

Anyone had any joy from Selftrade regarding their 'holding' statement of ELP/EXR share entitlement held on the ASX?

I wrote to Selftrade asking "where is it, can I have it please?" - and they said it will come from Computershare in Australia.

I wrote to Computershare in Australia who said we can't do anything if Selftrade don't tell us who they had in their nominee account, which Selftrade clearly can't be bothered to do because that is extra admin work and work costs money and they are 'execution only'.

Ho hum.

Hermana, Be nice to see some sign of life at ELP! This period of lack of apparent action is worse than watching paint dry.

Hermana,

Thought about that only answer I can come up with is "maybe" but don't bet on it. IMO Coy should never have delisted from AIM we have lost out on general uptrend in small Oil/Gas coys since March.

Decided to hold on no matter what. Not been my best investment but who knows in fullness of time.

Off subject I see you are in PCI. I only hold a few but hope to add before share price moves up from 11p.

tony melville at pattersons securities, tony.melville@patersonssecurities.com.au should get you a reply, they need a faxed or scanned/emailed copy of d/licence and holders cert to open one off account and flog em, takes about 2 weeks to get the cheque
