09/3/2017 08:04 | Good rns this morning. Fingers has kindly done a chart for us which suggests that this could be a good entry point. | woodpeckers
01/3/2017 09:47 | Good update yesterday, I missed it. | che7win
10/2/2017 09:25 | Should see upper 90's in fairly short order IMO | petercrosby
10/2/2017 09:03 | Lovely uptrend. | che7win
09/2/2017 12:20 | Luke sounds worried too | lbo
08/2/2017 11:01 | Well Elegant hotels themselves disagree with you;"However, while visitor numbers and airlift to the island have continued to increase, and there is good underlying growth in demand for Barbados, most of that growth has been in the villa rental segment and at the lower-cost end of the hotel market. Recent data from Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. shows that, for the first quarter of calendar 2016, demand for luxury accommodation decreased by 3.7%, while overall arrivals increased by 7.4%" | lbo
08/2/2017 10:50 | This once I agree with Airbnb. I don't see that they are a direct competitor to EHG - they have a very different clientele. | bookwormrobert
08/2/2017 10:18 | However, Sullivan (Airbnb) denied claims that Airbnb was undermining the traditional accommodation sector. “We do not cannibalize the industry or take market share from traditional accommodation sites. We end up basically growing the industry because more people are interested in coming. We have a tremendous impact on the local taxi companies, bars and restaurants. The entire eco-system which makes up the tourism sector in general benefits when there is a growing Airbnb presence,” he stressed. Sounds great! Provided the zika virus doesn't stop people risking private homes! The possibilities for growth in tourism over the next ten years must be enormous. | salchow
07/2/2017 13:06 | Sounds possible bad news for Airbnb and good news for EHG. | salchow
04/2/2017 12:49 | I think "struggled in its last full financial year" is a bit hard, but all publicity of EHG is welcome! And what dividend growth can you realistically expect when the yield is ALREADY 8.5% or so??? | bookwormrobert
04/2/2017 11:06 | Elegant Hotels Group (AIM:EHG) The owner and operator of six upscale freehold hotels and a beachfront restaurant on the island of Barbados struggled in its last full financial year against a backdrop of challenging market conditions. However, this didn’t stop the Group fulfilling its IPO commitment of a progressive dividend policy in line with the growth in future earnings. The proposed final dividend of 3.5p, resulted in a full year dividend of 7.0p per share which equates to a yield of 7% on the IPO price of £1 and a whopping 8.5% on the current share price (81.80p). Little dividend growth is currently forecast but the yield could attract some buyers. | masurenguy
03/2/2017 15:18 | Yes, fantastic chart, looking great here :-) Another Great review | che7win
03/2/2017 15:13 | Hi Peter! Yes, I'm waiting for this share to rerate to around 100p as well. I imagined the rerate would come after the next half-yearly update, which should show increased revenue and maybe profits with Waves now fully up and running. But it looks like it might be coming sooner than that. | bookwormrobert
03/2/2017 14:58 | If this breaks to the upside there is no resistance until 100p+ and there is a gap at around 97p. | petercrosby
03/2/2017 14:54 | It might be harder to unwind at Caribbean resorts including Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, Jamaica, St Lucia and Antigua this year as they are among the most expensive places for Brits to jet off to | lbo |
