I don't understand why everything is so quiet here; it's enough to make you believe the rumour than a takeover may be on its way.
Anyway, if the share price sags to 75p before the results are announced on 17/1 then I'm buying another tranche. 8.5% dividend, share price at 50% discount to net asset value, market leading product and institutional investors aboard; I'd be a fool not to take advantage.

All quiet here (I guess) until 17/1 when the latest results are announced.
Things I'd like to see in EHG's results:
1. An indication that trading is more or less back to normal this winter high season, and that they are attracting some US tourists as well as their standard UK customers
2. An announcement of a 3.5p dividend (to make a total of 7p a year) - i.e. a total yield of about 8.5%
3. Ideally, the appointment of Luke Johnson (or delegate) to the board; plus possibly representation from the big city institutions he brought in
Those three things should mean the share price jumps to around 110p - which would STILL be a 50% or more discount to net asset value.
I can't quite explain the current share price - but I am prepared to take advantage of it!

Daphne's roof was just being fixed. The restaurant is open. Not great for business in high season, but not sure it's worth an RNS.

Salchow, Agreed, and they've set an office up in Florida I think to market to US/Canadian tourists, margins are also much higher for tourists booking directly with EHG.

Thanks to LBO for the article pointing out that more tourists come from the UK than from the US and Europe combined. Due to the close proximity of the US this must create incredible opportunity to expand the number of tourists in the future.
