[from memory exp full year 73m compared to last year H2 25m and H1 was not as good]

I am pleased to report that the Group's sales growth has increased throughout the final quarter of the year with sales growing by around 15%

Deutsche Bank has raised its price target for Electrocomponents by a quarter after the components distributor saw sales pick up in December, but the German bank still thinks Premier Farnell offers a better economic recovery play.

Deutsche notes that Electrocomponents is 'a cyclical stock that looks well poised for recovery and is supported by 6% dividend yield', but reckons Premier Farnell has a faster recovery profile.

The bank remains wary of Electrocomponents' strategy to manage down margins in part of the UK business 'as history shows that it is very difficult in the industry to stabilise and grow gross margins.'

While upping its price target from 164p to 206p Deutsche has retained its 'hold' recommendation.
