looking good, I still think if the numbers bandied about are anything near, we should be at 5p, not 2p... do the maths on production x spike in oil price recently.

2p paid. Just shows it takes a little patience, all those people that piled in at 1.55-1.65p on news day then sold at 1.43p within 2 days would all be sitting on handsome profits. I still do not understand why 99% of people in this game do that now and it still does trigger their thick skulls that if they hold they will make money, selling for a loss because it's not in profit in 24 hours is only going to end up losing the lot.

Price would double overnight. That Gainsborough Trough shale will be very lucrative for us.

@leedbartz. I'm putting together some research notes covering all Egdon's assets. Will share the research and the link to my Dropbox when it is ready.

I've got permission from MA to quote him on these recent comments and I've said as much on Twitter. When I asked about the choke setting, his response was:"The choke is analogous to a tap and is used to manage flows during testing and production. A choke setting at 30.5/64ths is less than half open. This is the reason we described the flows seen at Wressle as being "significantly restricted"."When I asked about Wressle-1 income and our current cash position and funding, this was his response:"We are very pleased and encouraged by the performance of Wressle and the resultant cash flow. In terms of funding I can advise that having completed a placing in July and with the cash flow from Wressle and our other assets, we have sufficient cash for all of our immediate commitments and have no plans for any additional fund raise."Both very encouraging comments. I'm a very happy and excited shareholder.

Sulrely that's a very best case scenario - but you can see the potential clear .. it's way to illiquid to trade so looking forwards to the next update as already in and waiting patiently - took the opportunity after the selling post news. Btw - I've never quite understood the technicallites of use of choke - I get the principle, but don't quite understand the relencce of the detailed numbers and what the specific process is the reach the optimum conclusion

70% of EDR shares are held by directors or institutions. Very sticky stock. Starting to see a bit of liquidity now and will move fast past 2p once PIs realise how much Wressle-1 alone will bring in.

I queried that chike setting with Egdon management. The valve wasn't even half open when it reached "in excess of 884bopd". They're upgrading the well equipment and gas separator as I type.

"Considerable upside remains in the additional reservoirs at Wressle and in adjacent prospects and we expect Wressle to be an important asset for Egdon for a number of years to come."

ball park guestimate - my money is on about £500-550k for the next monthly update - based on a production flow uplift of about 15% and only a slight rise in oil price

To date, instantaneous flow rates in excess of 884 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") along with 480,000 cubic feet of gas (c. 80 barrels of oil equivalent per day) have been achieved from the Ashover Grit on a significantly restricted choke setting (30.5/64ths) and with a high flowing wellhead pressure.
