Wressle now the major share price driver. Chance to double existing production if successful and with fracking on hold maybe planning consent on conventional plays will be easier to come by. Here's hoping anyway.

Selling overdone? They reckoned conventional assets were worth 12-13p/share at start of year. They've had better production so far this year than last and I would imagine better average price, Wressle probably better than 50/50 chance and a potential jv partner of substance to develop Resolution and Endeavour. June saw a 1.6m cash raise so that can't be pressing problem, it will be interesting to hear Abbott's 'in due course' review but overall even with the parlous fracking situation it doesn't seem all doom and gloom apart from the share price

Cynical election play. Ban it and the effing Beeb won't beat the govt with the fracking stick every bloody night.

Granted there’s political spin but underpinning it all is a review from the Oil & Gas Authority who I guess are now embarrassed by their support for U.K. onshore shale exploitation and have hoist a red light.

And there’s this, despite it coming from the BBC, a decent account of the ‘geologics’: https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-49395658

Politicians seem to be able to produce copious quantities every time they speak

Fracking was never going to work commercially in the UK. Cameron was too thick to understand that in North America you have vast areas of uninhabited Moose Pasture to do this stuff, where the land owner got a share of the loot. That's why gas fell from $6 to $2 and energy became cheap and manufacturing could be brought back onshore.Of course the onshore players were happy to perpetuate the myth of lots of cheap gas with ludicrous volumes of gas in place...It means we'll need to keep importing more and more of our gas...decarbonise it at the beach and use the hydrogen to replace the methane and stuff the co2 in a hole in the ground....although I'm sure the yurt dwellers will oppose that too...preferring a "dung" based energy economy (not sure which animals it'll come from tho'.)

Typical politicians out to get votes. They encourage investment by companies to explore the possibility of extracting shale gas and now they are talking about stopping it. They encourage people to buy diesel cars and then turn round and try and put them off the road! Why can't we get politicians who have had a science based education who can make rational decisions based on facts and are not swayed by the latest fad. They are costing this country billions in their complete ineptitude.

So Johnson has now indicated they might ban fracking, don't know if it's a vote catcher attempt or not with Lab and Libdem already of that view but it's contrary to the noises they've made hitherto.

Or this ? "We look forward to sharing further data on the well as it become available, particularly on the secondary target, the tight gas sands of the Millstone Grit" However no movement in the IGas share price so maybe aye maybe no. or this "we hope for the grant of an extension to the licence to enable the acquisition of a 3D seismic survey in September/October 2019. We now look forward to progressing our discussions with potential industry partners with a view to funding the planned acquisition of the 3D seismic programme over the Resolution Discovery and the adjacent Endeavour Discovery in neighbouring Licence P2304 (100% Egdon)."

No movement on EOG which would be expected if Wressle news is the cause of the share price rise. Some people know something and others are hoping they know something, they don't!

I hope I'm wrong , but I've got a horrible feeling that they think that they've got the right to reject it again , despite not tabling any objections. It was unanimous last time. I also can't see why they need 6 days. They don't need to hear all the evidence/objections again , it's an appeal.
