Blackpool - a stockbroker belt?

The problem for onshore oil and gas in the UK right now is that a lot of very clever lawyers and barristers, living on top of these I&G licenses, plus the general run of the mill stockbroker belt NIMBYS have tremendous clout and financial resources and are able to tie up the planning departments of borough councils up in knots seemingly for years. Until this changes having a fracking friendly uk government won't make a ha'porth of a difference.

Andrea Leadsom new business secretary..."For the UK's energy security we will need continued access to gas for many years to come as we move to a renewable, zero-carbon-electricity future, but that it is not possible to do that overnight. Fracking is one industry that represents a huge opportunity for the UK, and our regulatory environment for it is the safest in the world," she has said.

It does seem that few people have cottoned on to this... have a look at DB's latest podcast and his comments on Wressle/the council

we have no idea if Brokerman is onto something or not, but the fact is the council asked for a meeting out of the blue about wressle! We do know EDR will fight for Wressle and not give up, and have covered every detail from the last appeal comments... so perhaps the council will allow wressle through on conditions, rather than face the £1m+++ costs if they lose the November appeal.

They were discussing the Wressle application prior to the appeal. The hope was that they would withdraw their objections due to a QC getting involved. I can't see it happening myself. However , if that is the case , they should be informing the affected parties pronto.

Again on LSE BB, the EOG thread TurnerBurner Posts: 5 Price: 3.05 Strong Buy RE: RNS16 Jul 2019 18:56 Strong rumours going about that North Lincolnshire County Council will withdraw their objections to the Wressle production application tomorrow. Looks like their legal QC has advised them that they will lose the November appeal and be left with large legal costs. Let hope.

Biscathorpe is potentially big news. Premier Oil still have a large stake in Egdon do they not? They've be interested in a thousand or two barrels per day of quick and cheap to develop onshore UK oil, as it would help them burn through their $4bn tax loss without paying tax.

Does seem very strange especially considering the cash injection provided by major companies. Spring road but cheapest entry to Bisacathorpe is EDR, quality backers and no cash concerns. Think it is one of those companies that when it starts turning it will turn quick.

I really don't know what will revive this share price as it cannot seem to hold at the 5p offer even with positive news coming from a conventional oil/gas discovery. We also have had a positive result with igas but fracking is a bad word to use at the moment until the lights go out.

Surprised at how muted this is, recent funding at 5p is quality aswell. "The valid acceptances included the irrevocable commitment to take up (or procure the taking up) of Open Offer Shares from Petrichor Holdings Coöperatief U.A., ("Petrichor") and Premier Oil plc ("Premier") (respectively the "Petrichor Committed Shares" and the "Premier Committed Shares" and together the "Excluded Shares"). Pursuant to the Underwriting Agreement, Petrichor has agreed to subscribe for the remaining 12,130,191 Open Offer Shares (the "Underwritten Shares"), being the total number of Open Offer Shares less the Excluded Shares and Open Offer Shares taken up by Qualifying Shareholders, on a fully underwritten basis in exchange for the payment of an underwriting commission of an amount equal to 4 per cent. of the total Issue Price of 23,801,611 Underwritten Shares."
