11/11/2002 13:38 | Any requests? I should be able to extract any thread from May 98 - November 99. Whatever did happen to that financial guru, Richkid? | pinsticker
11/11/2002 11:08 | Scrip - these past threads are a huge source of embarrassment, but I always think if you can't be open about your mistakes, then you'll never begin to learn from them! Yes, true about Dixons - at the time I needed cash to pay my bills :-) It should be remembered that in a savage bear market, the good, the bad and the ugly - all get hammered. Perhaps those still holding bombed out tech stocks should think twice before ditching them now. Btw, some might think I should have been wiped out long ago, making all these mistakes, but I do make some good decisions as well - it's just that modesty prevents me from posting them - lol! | scallywag
11/11/2002 10:52 | ROFL, Scallywag, At least some are able to be open about there mistakes. Good on you. I always remember you admiting selling Dixons for something like 12p in the 73/74 bear market, or something like that. | scripophilist
11/11/2002 10:11 | Oh sh*te - I've just read the Dodo thread again, as posted above by Martini. I see I was defiant in the face of the shorters, even then. Yep, they could short the hell out of Calluna and it wouldn't worry me..... I think it would be a great idea to form a club whose membership is restricted exclusively to people who never sold their CLN shares. Such people - and I'm not ready to admit being one of them - could meet once a year at Christmas and get totally bladdered. Hmmm, I wonder if richkid is still holding them..... | scallywag
11/11/2002 01:02 | Pinsticker, Alot seem to be still trading as well. Interesting, and impressive. Cheers Ash | mr ashley james
09/11/2002 11:07 | Uninterestingly enough, I used to live down the road behind the driver in post 12. It's the corner of Elystan Street and Fulham Road. Off to lunch at Bibendum, were you? :-) | thetroll
09/11/2002 02:52 | I joined in the good old days of ESI (when you could actually keep up with nearly every posting) and was an ADVFN beta tester. Whatever happened to Mr T25 (I think it was T25/Saggy) but my memory is wearing thin. He made the classic post comparing the whole bulletin board to various type of birds (feathered), it was an excellent warning to all newbies about not being suckered by rampers etc. I always thought it should be compulsory reading for new BB members. Anyone got a copy of it ? I think he was a student doing some financial/stockbroki | tromso
08/11/2002 20:49 | You out there Cler? LOL ! | maxk
08/11/2002 16:58 | Any luck on saving the archive guys? | scripophilist
08/11/2002 14:23 | It might be worth popping into etrade for a last look before it goes pop. There is a new BB being formed by some of the survivors. | maxk
08/11/2002 14:22 | The Count was on the Medisys thread on the free B.B. only last week. | moneybags
08/11/2002 14:08 | That said, I haven't seen much from him of late. I will knock on his coffin. | scripophilist
08/11/2002 14:07 | The count is alive and well. | scripophilist
08/11/2002 14:06 | Kayak I remember the Count on Etrade had a luvvly run in with him on Memory Corporation. Is he still trading/solvent ? R | rally |
