ex div date is almost always a Wednesday for all companies.

Can't find when it goes ex div anywhere obvious but given it was 14/11 last year and 16/11 the year before then maybe it's 13/11 this year.

Would be pleasing if they announce one way o the other whether NW stays with Edin IT because the share price running at a discount to NAV and investors wondering what to do.

The markets moved up since the announcement last week but Edin stuck in a rut!

Who says NW will move from EDIN? It's a totally separate issue from him leaving IP, and the independent BOD may keep him on as manager.

Over reaction on Edingburgh Investment trust now will be trading at a discount just picked up a few more.

Although Neil Woodford is moving next April the portfolio remains in tact anf a dividend due in November

Just got into this, it bounce of support at 547p, so hope its been oversold at this level.

5% drop today reduces the premium down to almost par for the Investment Trust shares after all Neil Woodford is the reason most people hold the shares.

If he does set up is own Fund he will have quite a few followers.

I dont expect Edinburgh Investment trust to fall much further unless USA cant get a deal on their debt ceiling.

Also hold Perpetual epic PLI down today 1.3% because of woodford going

also he dosent leave till next april 2014

I haven't used my ISA allowance for the year yet and if it drops much more I think I will commit it - cos is should go back up!

Just googled Woodford and found useful article by Telegraph released 18 minutes ago. It says it isn't yet clear whether he will give up Edinburgh - he leaves his other post in April 2014 - so todays drop seems somewhat panic driven? Though wouldn't want to see this drop more!
