07/3/2016 14:31 | Hi Mark, Yes barc has confirmed, although as they have nothing formal from the company they are forwarding it to the corporate actions team to investigate which may be wed pm. They will get back to me ASAP and I will post. Seems easy enough to transfer accounts, but has a £1 extra dealing fee... your currency exchange costs have also been confirmed as 1.5% per transaction. so thats our 3rd enquiry. Best regards Alan. | belgrano2
07/3/2016 13:45 | I have rung them twice and the story has been the same, for important things I somtimes ring 3 times as it can take 3 people to get to the truth sometimes. I would encourage you to speak to them to varryfy and I would be interested to hear what they say if it is different. The guy I spoke to said it is not that common but he has had several companies do this that he has been involved in. I rang them today to try and get to the bottom of this extra fee TD was indicating, I said I wanted to know now because significant fees would alter my decisions, he seemed confident it would just be the standard international trading fees. I feel for your holding my, 150k orginal holding cost nearly £18k, seems crazing now that can be bought for a few hundred. Even my small top up on last Thursday has been trashed but I am hopeful for a return on that if I hold into TSX trading. | mark10101
07/3/2016 13:37 | Hi Mark 10101, that is indeed very good news. Thanks very much for this info as my finger was starting to stray towards a 2.6m sell even for peanuts. | belgrano2
07/3/2016 12:55 | Hi Belgrano2, I am with Barclays and like my post above their international trader account links with the market master. Like you I hold my stocks in an ISA and they will be transfered accross to my Market Master. The international traders account apparently is a 5 minute online form. I spoke to them again today as some people are suggesting extra fees and I was assured they would be the standard fee to trade and 1.5% currency charge, same as I was told on Friday. | mark10101
07/3/2016 12:38 | Barclays do not trade on canadian TSX markets, I hold edge in a market master and isa stocks and shares account. Just been speaking to interactive investor with a view to transferring my stock to another company (bit cheaper to deal as well), but they only operate on the USA market not the canadian one. | belgrano2
07/3/2016 11:32 | I was also quoted 8-12 weeks to transfer over by TDD, which is now being processed. | sleveen
07/3/2016 09:56 | same here Jumbone | petewy
07/3/2016 08:28 | jumbone Please keep posting your charts and analysis. Charts and fundamentals are complimentary not contradictory. | sleveen
07/3/2016 08:11 | many thanks Jumbone for posting those charts, edge quotes me 0.23 V 0.21 for just 100K currently. I'll be checking which accounts I can transfer to canadian exchanges later today. | belgrano2
06/3/2016 23:25 | BelGrano: Oil is shooting up Crossed 39 just now So things are looking up. Even short term | jumbone
06/3/2016 23:20 | Many thanks Gents, I certainly hope you are right about those charts Jumbone, seems at the current prices a good percentage of the company could be snaffled for peanuts. However I have not sold, and i'm not giving them away either just down to current adverse price fluctuation, and not company under performance. | belgrano2
06/3/2016 22:59 | I can see from the number of replies and the silence on the things I post here and on Twitter that you all must think that I must either be out of my mind or must have an enormous amount at stake in EDG. I can assure you that I am not out of my mind I am not obsessed with EDG I do not hold a lot of stocks of EDG... But what I value my analysis... Before the Friday Morning's RNS we were on a very steep recovery.. But Brad with his uncanny timing hijacked that reversal... Another one is on or about to be on tomorrow. Do me a favour and let that reversal form and mature.. Don't kill it off by selling off cheap... If you do... it will only delay the reversal... not stifle it... So why not hang on to your EDG shares and let the reversal take place before dumping your stock for pittance? | jumbone
06/3/2016 22:43 | belgrano2: I have these with HL in an ISA wrapper and have been assured that even after de-listing here HL will be able to hold them under the ISA wrapper. Their dealing charges are nominal and I pay 5.95 per trade and no annual / other fees May be you could try and transfer your holdings to HL.. Or... As I am posting here and on TWITTER.. there seems to be a re reversal that's on... May be you could exit on the reversal's peak and get out unscathed... All the very best with your investments. | jumbone
06/3/2016 22:38 | Hi Belgrano2, I phoned Barclays on the day of the RNS and I was told they would likely be tradable on a market master depending in what form the shares are transfered in. An international traders account needs to be set up and The TSX is listed as one they trade on. If you have a market master already I 'twas told that trade under $30000 would be £12.95 and a 1.5% currency fee. If you hear any different when you speak to them let me know. Mine are in my ISA ATM but will get bounced out like most my other stocks ATM.... | mark10101
06/3/2016 22:13 | Don't be so GLUM guys... Take a look at this.. We are all in for a very pleasant surprise tomorrow... Unless Brad does something Really Really stupid AGAIN | jumbone
06/3/2016 22:10 | Just got in from abroad today and read this latest news as i've had zero internet for two weeks, bit of a stunner. One of my fears I had previously was with a company called supercart who also delisted, with promises that the stock could be dealt elsewhere. They then cancelled those plans. the company got heavy investment by a major company, and are currently doing well. they just ignore any correspondence, so in effect a wipe out. I've a good 7 fig holding here and i've received a note from a friend whos also invested here that barc marketmaster accounts don't deal with canada tsx, so will need to find out more info, before making any decisions. Appreciate all feedback about future ease/cost of dealing when on TSX. Many thanks Bel. | belgrano2
06/3/2016 20:33 | Mark - am holding tight at TRIN too. The deal there seems to be taking forever. | jungmana
06/3/2016 18:28 | Listed on AIM or listed in Canada, I'm still going to post here (so long as this company keeps going)! | bigt20
06/3/2016 17:35 | You still on here Quotes_4_u I thought you were wiped out years ago. How's your Twitter account going? You know - the one with the picture of the dog. | loverat
06/3/2016 17:04 | Lol Loverat. Topinfo is successful? I am going to applaud you for having a sense of humour. I just spat out my tea. | sharetrader3006
06/3/2016 16:22 | What about this week Mark? | sharetrader3006
06/3/2016 15:44 | I must admit it was always my fear and I did not average down until the day before the delisting RNS, I felt the volume may have suggested somthing going on and it did, it was allowing people out again my fear after we failed to rise much when there was such large buying volume on Thursday. AIM is utterly failing to deliver for CEOs in terms of reliable and cheap funding so AIM seems to be in its death throws. It makes complete sense to delist from AIM for EDG and could be the catalyst for change. So far this year of a portfolio of 6 EDG will be the 4th to delist from AIM with me as a holder, Jungmana TRIN is the last of my portfolio that I have not cashed in that has not delisted... I seem to have a knack for it, the good news is only one of them delisted due to insolvency. The other 3 all could and hopefully will come back on different markets at higher levels than we left, it is just going to be a year before that happens. At least EDG should be tradable by late spring all be it on TSX. Fingers crossed we get some positive signs for EDG next week. | mark10101
06/3/2016 13:17 | Jungmana 4 Mar'16 - 08:59 - 3703 of 3720 0 2 Stephanie - did you see an aim delisting coming? --- Er yes, you only had to read the accounts! The bigger question is why it took so long? Or even why a Canadian oiler with a project in Canada, and listed on the TSX listed here in the first place! | andy |
