28/2/2021 18:44 | Well, just read latest articles on bbc website, and other major news sources. Bottom line is that there’s a culture of deniability about coronavirus and covid, and the health threat it poses to Tanzania’s population. It’s fostered right from the top of govt. the prime minister there is t allowing a vaccination programme to go ahead, the health minister was on Tv recently trying to promote a “health juice” made out of common veg/fruit like lemons etc as a successful protective measure against covid, there’s already been some officials who have been hit by it, and died from it. They’ve not been promoting social distancing, or mask wearing in country either.... neither are they reporting on covid related figures such as identified cases via testing, hospitalisation, deaths etc to the WHO, who are basically begging them to foster these practices and to take the necessary steps to get the virus under control in their country. There aren’t any numbers available, because they’re not reporting on it... but there is evidence of people leaving the country and entering other places where they’ve tested positive for it..... Doesn’t take a genius to work out that with such an infectious ce’s ease, combine that with a relatively poor country, and relatively poor health care system , underpinned by a culture of deniability/ignoranc Of course, in the absence of hard fact such as high confidence estimates of prevalence in the community via a rigorous testing regime, one might argue that indeed there is no covid in that country. However, if that were the case, one would the. Have to ask, what is it that they are doing that has allowed them to escape unscathed, compared to the rest of the world? It’s not like they’ve locked down like somewhere like North Korea, or like Australia for example..... I’m worried that it is more likely than not to be absolutely rampant in that country, and the outside world really doesn’t have much of an idea as to just how bad it is... I hope I’m wrong, but given the nature of the Govt’s stance out there, I’m inclined to believe e that the situation there is far far worse than we’re currently hearing... L. L. | lazygun

25/2/2021 15:54 | LG.. Every country on the planet as been affected, its just how EDL deals with the Covid restrictions put in place by the government. | therealtonythetiger
25/2/2021 14:52 | Given Tanzania’s apparent anti-covid, covid - denial, anti- covid vaccination stance, despite people apparently starting to drop like flies in Tanzania from covid complications, anyone have any views on whether RUkwa will therefore be adversely affected? L. | lazygun |
