Brazilian/ Bayer / Spanish ..direction of Travel News. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has set up a working group to implement its national inputs programme for organic agriculture – the bioinputs programme (Programa Bioinsumos hTTps://agrow.agribusinessintelligence.informa.com/AG031162/Brazilian-Ag-Ministry-creates-panel-to-boost-bioinputs-for-organic-agriculture ……………………… hTTps://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-6941149/Couple-suffered-cancer-using-Roundup-30-years-tells-heartbreaking-story.html …………….. The organic sector of the Valencian Community generated 452 million euros in 2018 hTTps://www.bioecoactual.com/2019/04/19/sector-ecologico-comunitat-valenciana-2018/ The ecological sector of the Valencian Community has generated, in 2018, a turnover of 452.4 million €. This figure represents 25% of the market value of the consumption of organic products throughout Spain, which reaches € 1,805 million. This is clear from the data of the Annual Report of the Ecological Production that the president of the Committee of Ecological Agriculture of the Comunitat Valenciana (CAECV), José Antonio Rico, has presented this morning at the headquarters of Cajamar. Rico stressed that "these data show that the Valencian, precisely the year that the CAECV celebrates 25 years since its inception, becomes one of the autonomies that is betting on this method of production. Together with Catalonia, he explained, we reached 57.4% of the business volume of the entire national territory. " Evolution of the number of operators The Comunitat Valenciana closed 2018 with 2,904 operators (agricultural producers, stockbreeders, vegetative material, aquaculture, companies and importers). This figure has meant an increase of 11.2% in the last year (2017 - 2018), while between 2015 and 2018 the growth has been 29%. By provinces, Castelló has led the growth in the number of operators in the last year, with 19%, followed by Alicante (12%) and Valencia (9%). If we talk about the evolution in the period between 2015 and 2018, the province of Castelló has also led the increase in the number of operators, with 49%, followed by València (39%) and Alicante (25%). For the president of the CAECV, "we are talking about very important growths that last year put us at the head of the growth in the number of operators. This year we hope to be able to continue heading the statistics since the data that has advanced the Ministry of Agriculture speak of an average growth in the number of operators of 6%, a figure that the Comunitat practically multiplies by two ". Producers, companies and importers. If we refer to the number of producers, that is, farmers, stockbreeders, producers of vegetative material and aquaculture producers dedicated to organic production, in the last year the Comunitat Valenciana has gone from 2,037 to 2,218, which translated in percentage terms means having grown by 8.8%. This figure translates into 22.6% if we talk about the period between 2015 and 2018. With an increase of 18.9%, Castelló continues to lead growth between 2017 and 2018, followed by Alicante, with 12.4% and València, which has increased its number of organic producers by 9.1% in the last year. The province of Castelló also leads this increase in the last four years (2015 - 2018), with a rise of 34.3%, followed very closely by València (32.2%) and Alicante, with 22.8%. The number of companies has grown by 19.1% in the last year, much higher than the national average, which, between 2017 and 2018, has increased by 11%. The companies dedicated to the ecological sector have suffered an increase of 51.9% between 2015 and 2018. The most representative sectors of the ecological companies located in the Valencian Community are those dedicated to the elaboration, conservation, handling and packaging of fruits and vegetables, warehouses and those dedicated to the elaboration of food products of animal origin. The number of certified importers has grown by 23.2% in the last year and 86.4% in the last four years "The ecological sector is proving to be very competitive and innovative and the figures we present today say that we are generating new business and work opportunities, helping to mitigate one of the main problems that the Valencian field has, which is none other than the generational relief. In addition, we speak of a production method of great economic, social and environmental importance, "said José Antonio Rico. The certified surface multiplies its extension by two The year 2018 was closed with 114.509 certified hectares, 18.6% more than the previous year, when the 96,477 hectares were reached. For Rico, "in 2017 we led the national growth and, in 2018, we remained above the national average, which is an increase of 5%. Autonomies such as Catalonia have increased their surface area in the last year by 5%, while the Balearic Islands have increased by 11% ". If we talk about the period 2015 - 2018, our territory has seen how the area dedicated to organic production has multiplied practically by two. In 2015 we had 77,120 hectares, while in 2018 we accounted for 114,509, which represents an increase of 48.6%. Another fact to be taken into account is that, at present, the area devoted to organic farming in the Valencian Community represents 5.7% of the total agricultural area and 13.9% of the useful agricultural area. By provinces, Valencia leads the growth in the last year, with 31.6%, followed by Castelló (21.1%) and Alicante (4.2%). Between 2015 and 2018, València is also the one that has grown the most, with an 80.5% more area dedicated to this production system. It is followed by the province of Castelló, with an increase of 71.9% and Alicante (15.7%). Main crops, producing regions and destination of the productions The organic crops that represent more surface in our Comunitat are: the vineyard for wine, the nuts, the olive grove for oil, the cereals, the citrus fruits, the fruit trees and the vegetables. Vineyard for wine: 11,630 ha. (18% of the surface compared to the conventional) Nuts: 9.250 ha. (13.2% of the surface compared to the conventional) Olive grove for oil: 4,612 ha. (5% of the surface compared to the conventional) Cereals: 3,599 ha. (8.5% of the surface compared to the conventional) Citrus: 3,027 ha. (1.9% of the surface compared to the conventional) Fruit trees: 1,227 ha. (0.8% of the surface compared to the conventional) Vegetables: 832 ha. (3.5% of the surface compared to the conventional) Regarding the regions that have more importance in the ecological sector, if we talk about certified surface, the main ones are: The Baix Maestrat in Castelló, La Plana de Utiel - Requena in València and l'Alt Vinalopó, the Vinalopó Mitjà and La Vega Get off in Alicante On the other hand, if we refer to the types of cultivation, in the Plain of Utiel - Requena and in the Vinalopó Mitjà vineyard cultivation predominates, the production of nuts is concentrated, mainly in Alt Vinalopó and Vinalopó Mitjà, the certified organic olive grove is located in L'Alt Vinalopó, cereal production is concentrated in the interior of the Region, to a greater extent in the regions of La Plana de Utiel - Requena, Valle de Cofrentes - Ayora and l ' Alt Vinalopó, the production of citrus fruits, mostly lemons in the region of La Vega Baja, fruit trees in La Ribera Alta, La Costera, La Vall d'Albaida, L'Alcoià and Baix Vinalopó and the cultivation of vegetables in the 'Horta Nord, Alt Vinalopó, Alacantí, Baix Vinalopó and La Vega Baja. Our exports are directed almost entirely to the European Union (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands, among others). Five categories dominate the exports of organic products of the Comunitat: vegetables, nuts, wines, oils and fruits. Between these crops is concentrated about 75% of the Valencian products exported. For José Antonio Rico "these data demonstrate the continuous evolution of the ecological sector of the Valencian Community and we are doing it in an orderly manner thanks to the implementation of the I Ecological Production Plan. Our goal is to continue improving the Valencian field, offering the consumer healthy products of higher quality and respectful with the environment, which is what we are demanding, "he concluded. Super, Eden's Sumi-Agro relationship appears to be very quiet. Might it be that Sipcam as already exampled several times, will be the distributor of choice for Eden and Sumi needed to partner elsewhere for like products? We still await an update on Sipcam's evaluation of Sustaine and assuming the positive, I imagine they would want wide consent across Crop Protection for pesticide encapsulation and co-encapsulation right's. Effectively, big ag might have to go to Sipcam direct to have their pesticide encapsulated or co-encapsulated rather than deal with Eden direct.

The Sumitomo related web..News Sumitomo/ Nufarm / KNE Certis / Nanoparticle/Hollow Glucan ..Word association NANOPARTICLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PESTICIDE FORMULATION, PESTICIDE FORMULATION, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PESTS, USE OF THE NANOPARTICLE AND USE OF THE PESTICIDE FORMULATION hTTps://worldwide.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/biblio?II=0&ND=3&adjacent=true&locale=en_EP&FT=D&date=20190109&CC=AR&NR=109678A1&KC=A1# The present invention describes a starch/abamectin suspension nanoparticle, uses thereof, a pesticide formulation comprising said nanoparticle, the method for producing said pesticide formulation and a method for controlling plant pests. The formulation of the present invention allows easier control over reinfestation by pests, such as, for example, mites, nematodes and/or insects in the soil, with a reduced number of applications and greater residual effect. The present invention pertains to the fields of Chemistry and Farming. …………………….. In the current paper, we reviewed the use of nanoparticles (NPs) in crop protection, emphasizing the control of pests in the agricultural and urban environment. At the same time, we provide the framework on which the technology of NPs is based and the various categories of NPs that are currently used for pest control. Apart from the use of NPs as carriers of a broad category of active ingredients, including insecticides and pheromones, some NPs can be used successfully as insecticides alone. Moreover, several types of NPs are produced by natural resource-based substances, which make them promising “greenâ€ alternatives to the use of traditional pest control agents. Finally, the potentials in the use of NPs are briefly illustrated and discussed. hTTps://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10340-017-0898-0# ………………………….. Abstract Glucan particles (GP) are 2-4 μm hollow and porous microspheres derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Baker’s yeast) that provide an efficient system for encapsulation, protection, and oral or systemic macrophage-targeted delivery of macromolecules, such as DNA, siRNA and proteins using either a polyplex or layer-by-layer (LbL) synthesis methods. We have recently extended the application of GPs to the delivery of nanoparticles (NP) that are encapsulated within the hollow cavity of GPs or bound to the outer surface of chemically derivatized GPs (Soto, et al. J. Drug Delivery, 2012, Article ID 143524). GP mediated delivery of nanoparticles provides the advantages of (1) encapsulation of materials that are difficult to prepare in situ within the glucan particles, such as nanomaterials composed of water-insoluble components, (2) β1,3-D-glucan receptor-targeted delivery of nanoparticles to phagocytic innate immune cells, (3) small molecule loaded nanoparticles for small drug molecule delivery, and (4) targeted delivery of nanoparticles with an intrinsic property, such as magnetic or gold nanoparticles, thus increasing the versatility of the GPs for theranostic applications. Examples of nanoparticles that have been formulated with GPs include magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles, quantum dots and adeno-associated virus (AAV). hTTps://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/bk-2012-1119.ch003 …;…………………………………... Nonviral gene delivery technologies have been developed using layer-by-layer self-assembly of nanomaterials held together by electrostatic interactions in order to provide nanoparticulate materials that protect and deliver DNA to cells. Here we report a new DNA delivery technology based on the in situ layer-by-layer synthesis of DNA nanoparticles caged within hollow yeast cell wall particles (YCWP). YCWP provide protection and facilitate oral and systemic receptor-targeted delivery of DNA payloads to phagocytic cells. The nanoparticles inside YCWP consist of a core of tRNA/polyethylenimine (PEI) followed by a DNA layer that is finally coated with a protective outer layer of PEI. Using fluorescein and rhodamine labeling of tRNA, PEI, and DNA, the layer-by-layer formation of the nanoparticles was visualized by fluorescent microscopy and quantitated by fluorescence spectroscopy and flow cytometry. Optimal conditions (tRNA:YCWP, PEI:YCWP ratios and DNA load levels) to synthesize YCWP encapsulated nanoparticles were determined from these results. The high in vitro transfection efficiency of this encapsulated DNA delivery technology was demonstrated by the transfection of NIH3T3-D1 cells with YCWP-tRNA/PEI/gWizGFP/PEI formulations containing low amounts of the plasmid gWizGFP per particle to maximally express green fluorescent protein (GFP). hTTps://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/bc700329p …………………………… Nufarm hTTps://www2.nufarm.com/announcements/nufarm-acquires-trunemco-nematode-management-seed-treatment-from-basf/ hTTps://www2.nufarm.com/uk/2018/09/27/sumitomo-chemical-and-nufarm-limited-sign-agreement-on-new-fungicide-solutions/ KNE Certis distribution agreement with Nufarm - 6/30/2017 After reaching an important agreement earlier this year with Nufarm Europe, KNE Certis has taken over responsibility for the exclusive distribution of certain Nufarm products in Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Albania for a five year term. hTTp://www.knecertis.bg/default.aspx?lang=en-US&page=512&newsid=270

SumiAgro preparing PR and recruitment for launch of further Seipro Branded products one of which Shore Cap failed to mention.. Post harvest fruit protection. Many Sipcam staff appear to be appreciating the News Sumi agro France in strong growth 5 new biocontrol, BioStimulants and mixed products expected by fall. hTTps://www.linkedin.com/company/sumi-agro-france/ From Post 5966 Five new features coming soon. The Japanese company also indicates that five projects are expected to be completed in the coming months, including the SAF1801i, which officials describe as "a new means of pest control through its mode of action". This solution is composed of a spectrum of polymers with different chain lengths. During its application, these polymer chains entangle and congeal on the surface of the plant. The film thus created immobilizes the pest and prevents it from feeding. "It is selective small insects little mobile, especially the sucking-type psyllid suckers, whiteflies ... It has no adverse effects on auxiliary wildlife," said the official. This solution does not require a marketing authorization because it has no insecticidal action, it has a profile without DAR and without residues. The company indicates that it has been tested on orchard, vineyard, market gardening with good results. Among the other novelties expected, a biocontrol fungicide based on microencapsulated terpenes for the fight against pome fruit conservation diseases. The biocontrol insecticide Oikos will benefit from a new formulation'. hTTp://www.arboriculture-fruitiere.com/articles/technique-fruit/quinze-nouveaux-biostimulants-homologues-sur-toutes-cultures

Wan, given this morning's discussion of LGEN's increasingly interventionist mode of shareholding, including a blacklist, you'd have thought that the obverse would be equally important for Big Money: ensure the survival of cos that promote environmental solutions. One hopes this is effectively, via Sipcam/Eastman already happening. The money is abundant. The money is there: but it should be helping to expedite the benefits of the tech to the world, as swiftly as possible.
