Looks like some big buying (and a seller?) showing up after hours.
Was out last night so didn't quite see all the days trades - annoying how ADVFN drops off the NEX trades soon after the trading day. Can't be ar*ed opening up NEX to see what trades went through there.

Just as with the BREXIT negotiations, I expect a flurry of deals/RNSs being concluded by Sipcam as their Option period expires - 31 Dec 2018.

I have no doubt about Eden's commercial success - too many big names have parted with cash to make use of our IP - Sipcam, Eastman and soon we must hear of milestones from Bayer. That IP will not lie on the shelf, it provides these companies with a real and significant competitive advantage over their competition and consumers should be pleased as it will generate genuinely better products.

CHICAGO, October 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --
According to the new market research report "Molluscicides Market by Type (Chemical (Metaldehyde, Methiocarb, Ferric Phosphate) and Biological Molluscicides), Application (Agricultural and Non-Agricultural), Form (Pellets, and Liquid & Gel), and Region - Global Trends & Forecast to 2023", published by MarketsandMarkets, the Molluscicides Market is estimated to be USD 587.8 million in 2018 and is projected to reach USD 727.8 million by 2023, at a CAGR of 4.4% during the forecast period. The high commercial losses incurred due to snail attacks on horticulture crops have increased the usage of molluscicides for these crops. Further, the golden apple snail (GAS) is among the growing species of snails that attack rice crops in Asian countries such as China and Japan. For this reason, the demand for biological molluscicides is increasing significantly across all regions.

Super,

What is the South American show Eastman are presenting Cedroz at in November 2018? Do you have the link please?

Willing sellers?

I'd anticipate very few based on the following:

1) many are locked in at much higher prices from a previous era, business model and management
2) big game changing news (For Eden) is due
3) the company is already significantly undervalued in my opinion even before these pending announcements
4) those that have recently bought are nowhere near 'in the money'
5) we have a new chairman who has global, Eden relevant responsibilities at Bayer and he didn't come here for 20/30/40p
6) current invested 'institutions' are also unlikely here for 20/30/40p and they have a decent collective % of the company
7) Sipcam came in @10p and are doing all this R & D to a) encapsulate pesticides and b) co-encapsulate pesticides with Eden's natural active ingredients.

Massive upside in front of Eden and a long runway too!

And I've been adding a few. Had to pay 13p for one batch. Maybe looking a bit overstretched now, so will wait to see what the retraces along the way look like. I get the sense that there are not many willing sellers out there at these prices, and with expected newsflow.

Biocontrol in Demand from Produce Retailers and Consumers

Biological control has moved into the mainstream. After years of experimentation and new and improved technologies, biocontrol is becoming a more regular part of many growers’ integrated pest management (IPM) programs. And the timing couldn’t be better, as consumer demands for more sustainable production methods for the produce and ornamentals they buy are moving back upstream. Retailers have taken notice and many are beginning to set expectations for what they want to see from the growers they choose to buy from.

Cucurbit powdery mildew is a significant challenge for most vegetable growers in the Eastern U.S. Research at Cornell University is looking in detail at how effective different biological controls are in combating the fungus, when used in rotation with either organic or conventional pesticides. You’ll gain insights from research about what biopesticides add to your cucurbit powdery mildew management program, and how they can potentially help you this coming season.

Grape Pests and Biocontrol
Chris Becker
Research Scientist, BAAR Scientific LLC
Eastern grapes for juice or wine have to contend with a challenging mix of disease and insect problems each season, from powdery mildew, downy mildew and botrytis to grape berry moth and leafhoppers. Each pest has biopesticides that fit well into commercial programs. This session will provide you with information on the biology of the pests and a useful overview of the mode of action of the available biopesticides that can help you produce a quality crop next season.
