Whether it's 'in the coming months' or 'in short order' we're in Bayer Time Now.

And although a small sample, I bet that sums up the Eden shareholder base!

I haven't had a reply from the Chairman either from 4 weeks ago

LOL, littlealbatross2,

I wonder if he'll manage to get past the one year anniversary of his appointment without buying any shares?

RNS - 29 September 2017: Eden Research plc announces that it has appointed Lykele van der Broek as Non-Executive Director and Chairman-designate with effect from the 1 October 2017

The Half Yearly Reports are normally issued before the end of September. I don't need to curb my enthusiasm because I don't have any.

Good luck with that.

It means 'in the coming months' surely.

bjlk, Investing.

Unlike Sean Smith who promptly and politely replied twice to questions I asked some time ago I am still, after a good many weeks, awaiting a reply from Mr van den Broek politely asking him if he could put a time span on the "In short order" phrase he used in the agm statement.

Valérie LEMPEREUR of IFV who tweeted about Mevalone last week makes some interesting statements about the wish to reduce Residues even when they are present even at below grape regulatory limits.

Assistant Director of Scientific and Technical Programs at the French Institute of Vine and Wine

Reducing pesticide level in wine by selective filtration

Wine Pesticide residues, even when below grape regulatory limit, are a concern for consumers and have an impact on the export potential of wine in certain markets. A consortium of European SMEs (www.adfimax.com) has developed a product that reduces the level of mycotoxins and pesticides in wine while keeping all other wine parameter identical. The product is derived from renewable vegetable fiber. The production process includes both activation and micronisation. The usage recommendation is to substitute only the pre-coat, typically perlite, by the product at 1 or 1.5 kg·m −2 without changing the other layer (body feed) typically kieselguhr. This paper describes the results of numerous industrial trials that were performed in France, Luxemburg, Germany and Spain. The impact of the product on the wine oenological characteristics was evaluated for different wine (white, red and rosé) in different countries and for different grape variety (including Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot and Gamay). Results showed a reduction of the test wine pesticide level of 50% to 60% for all pesticides compared to the blank. Level of pesticide analyzed in the cake where extremely high at a level of a 1,000 times greater than the filtered wine showing the ability of the product to selectively capture the pesticides molecules.

Bjik,

It would be nice to know Eden is still alive and breathing, wouldn't it!

I reckon a few thousand investors would like to be brought out of their comatose state.

Who sells 100,000 shares today at 10.58p when Eden says

The interims will be published in the coming weeks (September)
TT to deliver income in 2018
Bayer will do the same in 2018
Multiple Sipcam updates on co-encapsulation, distribution rights & more
Eastman update
Appointment of a US distributor for Mevalone (mentioned 21/3/2018, Proactive Video)

PLUS anything else that has not yet been made public knowledge.

Unless under severe financial stress, surely Eden can do more to protect investors from themselves. Surely there should be a lead into all of the above, updates, communication.

The Eden share price needs a band aid until such time as it is healthy enough to look after itself!!!!!!

New report showing that pesticide residues in food are a major source of exposure to EDCs.

New report EXPPERT 10 : nearly two thirds of pesticides residues in European food are suspected endocrine disruptors (ED)
The French NGO Générations Futures, a Pesticide Action Network Europe and HEAL member organisation, studied the EFSA report “2016 EU report on pesticide residues in food” published in July 2018, looking for the share of endocrine disrupting pesticides in all the residues found1.
In the overall monitoring programmes ( EU coordinated programme and national programmes) 84 657 food samples were tested. 49,3% of these samples contained at least one quantified pesticide residue (or several). MRLs were exceeded in 3,8% of the samples. 109 843 residues were quantified in total and related to a total of 41 722 samples and 350 different pesticides.
Générations Futures checked these 350 pesticides. 157 of them (44,86%) are included in the Tedx database (created by Theo Colborn and listing chemicals for which at least one published scientific study finds an ED effect 2) and are thus suspected endocrine disruptors.
These 157 suspected ED pesticides accounted for 69433 residues which amounts to 63,21% of the total 109 843 pesticides residues found by EFSA.
« This analysis clearly shows that pesticide residues in food are a major source of exposure to EDCs as nearly two thirds of pesticides residues in European food are suspected EDCs !» declared François Veillerette, Director of Générations Futures. « EFSA just can’t continue to claim that things are under control because MRLs are rarely exceeded. Indeed, ED pesticides can act at very low doses as for these ED chemicals it is more the period of exposure that makes the risk rather than the dose itself. Foetuses are for instance very much at risk with these ED pesticides that can trigger diseases later in life as cancer, diabetes, impair reproduction and the development of the nervous system. The Commission should thus launch a systematic substitution policy to replace these suspected ED pesticides !» He added.

Global biotech?!

Industrial sounds dirty, just like pesticides sound harmful.

When is Eastman Chemicals going to change its name to simply 'Eastman'? I would be taking the word 'Chemicals' out of my business name today, given the shift taking place and customer (B2B or B2C)perceptions. It's just too toxic.

Ecological transition is inevitable, it is only a matter of time before industrial farming will collapse under its own resource-depleting weight. The longer we wait the more painful and costly the transition will be: to our wildlife, future generations, our food supply and farming as a business. Farmers will be the first to suffer. Decision makers must own up to this reality and make the right choices now, not leave future generations to shoulder the catastrophe. Farmers need a helping hand in changing course, not be pushed further down the dead-end road.

Super,

It's September. No more excuses about the summer months and everyone on holiday. Work in the 'city' is back on track next week. I expect Eden to start delivering many of those RNS's that are (over) due.

What reasonable person wouldn't!
