..maybe this film will help

“I have just finished watching Poisoning Paradise and I am so grateful to the Brosnans for making this beautifully shot film. I have been speaking out about Monsanto, Dow, Syngenta and the rest for a long time, and this film brings absolute proof of the evil forces that are poisoning the environment and harming animals and people in Hawaii. I hope that this film is shown around the world, that it wins every prize out there, that it wakes people up and generates anger. We need millions of citizens from around the world to take to the streets in a massive protest against the use of lethal chemicals on our fields and the shocking expose of corruption at high levels. Watch it. Become angry. Take action.”

Jane Goodall, PhD, DBE – Founder – the Jane Goodall Institute & UN Messenger of Peace.

Many documentary photography projects attempt to reveal the structural violence that society has wrought. Monsanto: a photographic investigation by photographer Mathieu Asselin is more specific in its aim: it is a visual call for corporate responsibility. Drawing on the theme of temporality that pollution often creates, the photobook is a timeline that documents over 100 years of chemical harm. The book explains through word and image how the agrochemical company Monsanto has caused ecological, social, and health problems for countless people across the world.....

Super,

:):)

Sean and Eden have a terrific opportunity, as long as they are not a slave to Eastman Chemicals (terrible name by the way in today's climate, just drop the word 'Chemicals', Sipcam and possibly Bayer).

Tell their story as it is, stick your chest out, be honest and jargon free and keep referring to 'natural solution and plants own defence mechanisms'.

The message will not be long on the investment public if you tell it clearly and in a detailed and logical fashion. Commercially, Eden has been adopted and has real sales so it will only morph to something bigger from here, unless 'conventional chemistry' takes them out.

On that subject, a £1 a share delivering £207million of corporate value would be inconsequential to Bayer on just those 9 crop pesticides generating $1.57 billion a year. Our Chairman was and I guess still is courtesy of Eden, a bioscience man so it shouldn't be too hard for him to sell this value proposition back to Bayer.

I bet Eden would want way more than a £1, but when you're sat at a paltry 12 pennies both the bidder and those invested will think a £1 tremendous value all round.

Super,

I can't disagree with that.

I also think it is important that having acknowledged that biotechnology and the agri-business is complicated and people need educating, stating 'it's a real challenge and that the subject matter, if you are not in the industry, is very complex and difficult to convey to people'.

Eden could do a lot more execution of the same to bring about greater understanding in the investment community, thus delivering its associated rewards in the share price. A well structured, jargon free or at least jargon qualified programme of delivery on the company, its markets and opportunities would deliver understanding, make a complex subject a bit more simple and therefore make an investment decision in Eden far easier to action.

Eden to my mind, has massive potential, it is just that Eden hasn't conveyed that potential properly in a way that investors can digest it. Do that and I guarantee the share price will sit considerably higher.

hxxps://news.nationalgeographic.com/2015/04/150422-glyphosate-roundup-herbicide-weeds/

There are so many articles on Glyphosate, where do you begin?

The above cites some examples of where, product wise, it is used and it is clear to see that there is some product application crossover with Eden's markets/target markets. So whilst Mevalone is used on Grapes for Botrytis, I assume Glysophate is used on the foliage with Grapes? That's a question should anyone know the answer.

However, this raises a question(s) and offers Eden and Powerscourt an opportunity.

Question

Mine is, can Eden use Sustaine and their natural solutions to make Glysophate less toxic and more credible and acceptable to regulators around the world? Would they even want to as Glysophate is so badly damaged now with all the negative press

Action

As with plastics which have captured consumers imagination, Glysophate presents on a plate a big opportunity for Eden, guided by Powerscourt, to talk about chemical pesticides vis-à-vis natural solutions, as well as the ability to control and manage the release of those natural solutions at the right time.

Eden could, with Powerscourt's assistance, spend an hour or two with an invited audience of publications Business,Environment and Financial Editors and tell the Eden story, example the success, namely Mevalone and Cedroz and illustrate the near term future - 12 months.

It's a wonderful opportunity whilst this subject is in great focus to introduce Eden more specifically to that audience with a harmless, non-toxic and equally effective natural solution to agricultures preventable diseases. Powerscourt could even invite the UK's major Supermarkets to and use it as an exercise in education, something Sean said needed to be done in his panel discussion on New technology, link provided by supersonico.

Why would we let this moment pass?!

Agreed Northwick,

just to add to that.. those who are looking into this subject might want to research
the down side of Homogenized Milk, including Organic.

Waitrose Dutchy and one of the Organic whole Milk producers who's name escapes me that Sainsburys sell is Non Homogenised Milk.

Most is homogenised as far as I know.

Please disregard my last post. Fat finger syndrome.I was going to say - for that matter we should all use organic dairy products to avoid antibiotics that are fed to the animals on a daily basis. We are being poisoned every minute of the day with all sorts of chemicals. best to avoid where ever possible.

Northwick,

Your very welcome.. hope your eating Organic Now :)

My instincts tell me the waiting period is nearly over.

Look at Investing's posts for a good appraisal of the Horizon

I also think were in for a nice surprise along the way, which could be a Bayer type surprise or a strategic Partner surprise.

Of course they could be one in the same..

SuperI along with other shareholders have been educated and enlightened by you in how much Pesticide and chemicals are used in our food chain for which I thank you. Our Government hasn't bothered to investigate this in any meaning full way as it does not raise revenue for UK Plc. It will years and even maybe a generation for all this to change. My immediate worry and question is will I ever see a return on my investment any time soon. I know of few other shareholders who have been invested in Eden for years and are still waiting to recoup their losses let alone a return. How long do we all wait? 7 years is indeed a long wait ?Any opinions?

Investing,

My wonderings strongly concur with your thoughts... that being the possibility of Bayer asking Mr Van Der Broe to scout ahead and provide a trusted bridge for some future event.

This may be a long shot, but it is a question worth asking

21st June AGM Presentation, page 21, "Bayer CropScience has 9 products that are losing patent protection representing a value of $1.57 billion"

hxxp://www.edenresearch.com/~/media/Files/E/Eden-Research/documents/reports-and-presentation/agm-presentation-2016.pdf

Eden chose to share this information two years ago, they didn't have to. They have never commented further to the best of my knowledge.

Bayer (albeit healthcare) is also presented first in any presentations ahead of other partners (it's not alpha sorted) even though Eden has no commercial arrangements contracted with Bayer. Example: hxxp://www.edenresearch.com/about-us/our-partnerships. It is the same in their Powerpoint presentations.

Eden is "very far advanced" with Sipcam in regards to Sipcam's 20 active and commercial ingredients being encapsulated in Sustaine. Announcement due any time presumably.

Bayer has just bought Monsanto and the Monsanto name is being dropped.

When Eden RNS's that Sustaine technology is officially encapsulating those Sipcam ingredients is it unreasonable to expect Eden/Sipcam to speak with Bayer CropScience (again?)about those 9 highly valuable products? I also wonder if Bayer CropScience has already been trialling the same. Even if they haven't, one can reasonably assume that the Eden/Sipcam RNS, likely due, is a gamechanger with material benefit for Bayer CropScience and a material change for Eden. Such an RNS could even subsequently see Eden taken out by Bayer (hopeful maybe, but a possibility) because the rewards for both are significant.

I think this is also supported by the "New Technology" panel discussion that supersonico posted the other day and that the panel said will occur in general terms.

Add in that Mr Van Der Broek, our new Chairman, was Head of Bayer Cropscience, BioSceince division then the discussion at least and at the highest level seems a very strong possibility to me.

Has the Chairman been brought in to bridge the divide and deliver a wholesale sale of Eden Research Plc or an element(s)of Eden to Bayer?

I personally feel that the Eden/Sipcam RNS together with commentary is going to tell us the answer.

Super,

What is your view on the above?
