If you had £30 million in your back pocket would you buy 49% of a haulier that was lumbered with £380 million of debt, in an economy that's heading into a depression?

I'll be waiting for the next accounts. If they can actually make enough money to pay the debt, there might be an opportunity here. I feel it difficult for ESL to dig itself out this hole.

The various ownership, Morocco, Isle of Man, and other corporate shinannigans don't inspire investment for the PI. Just a mugging really, although those pulling the strings are doing OK.

The DBAY restructure seems more about DBAY getting all the asseets, but dumping all the debt. The idea promoted on these boards about the debt DBAY has directly in ESL is baloney. DBAY would quite happily see ESL wound up - it already has more than half the actual assets. I wouldn't be surprised for DBAY to announce next year it forgot to tell the market it was shorting the hell out of ESL, an administrative oversight.

I was thinking of putting my nob on the table...not so sure now.
I do value my nob, don't want to lose it.

Sensible comments appreciated

Probably taking a bit of risk off as we go into the end of the week with the AGM and results due. Once the ii sees the impact of their selling today through their broker that was probably hitting every decent sized bid they saw I doubt they'll get the order back tomorrow.

I just cant figure out the thought process of selling at this price with the financials in a couple of days. This was 7p when all the doom was priced in. Now we have had over 3 months of high demand due to covid, on what basis are people selling ffs
