Was it necessary in order to bargain better with the losses buyer? If we looked as if we would need cash fairly soon, they could drive a harder bargain. We haven’t got the land sale completed and cash in hand yet. Just bad luck timing maybe?

I thought the whole point of the tax sale was to avoid dilution. Why raise if this is imminent? The BOD has lost trust , respect and credibility. A real kick in the proverbials. Unbelievable

Just threw it out there as a possibility Spangle as it does give the mgt' a return for taking wages in shares.
I suppose much depends on how much they need to buy the plant for the alluvial gold production in Queensland.
If we are to get $7m there is far too much there just for drilling.

I think that's pretty unlikely, Souls. An AIM miner and its money are hard to part. The only chance would be if it suited the bosses, because of the shares they've taken as salary.

I think I'd prefer it if they used it on drilling, to increase the value of the assets to potential buyers, rather than us regularly getting knocked back by fund raising. If there were no risk of the latter, it might be more investable

More cash in the coffers and a couple of clearly upbeat directors. Maybe we could get somebody articulate to speak for Adam and we could really keep this feeling going? Perhaps the new boy could do that as we have yet to hear what he is doing? Lots of momentum building!!

you don't half talk a lot of nonsense

once the tax losses are sold and announced there will be plenty opportunities for the next set of jam tomorrow shareholders (fresh meat on the double your money soon froth) to buy as the traders and tax loss sale speculators (like me) run for the exit

alas those buying on the tax sale froth will be sat waiting around underwater for months hoping for another bit of transformative jigsaw news

the problem with all the junior miners is going from a pure exploration play to producing something tangible and notable to sell to make a massive difference in the company valuation (read SP) takes years and years and years and loads of money

so as much as Mike and Nick have turned this company around (so far so good) ECR will be no different

wait and see !!

Excellent interview. Plenty of new to come by the sounds of it.

I thought it was the big one when I first saw the RNS marker this morning. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make the deadline next week but that doesn't bother me as these things take time and it is all about getting the best deal as we can only sell those losses once.
