They say - Orinduik Block is updip of this discovery!

To be updip (or downdip) means Orinduik must share the same play as Ranger-1. Eco's position looks increasingly positive with each regional discovery. The offshore basin reservoirs look massive geographically and in terms of hydrocarbon volumes.

Meanwhile, interest is growing and things are going very nicely for the share price

It does look like Total may have picked up a bargain by getting 25% of this licence from ECO for $13odd million.... (Total have yet to take up their option and I'll be staggered if they don't).

#XON @exxonmobil announced a 6th major oil discovery from their Ranger-1 exploration well within Stabroek Block, offshore Guyana, adding to an estimated total of more than 3.2 BBOE. This is great news for the company, as our Orinduik Block is updip of this discovery! #ECO #EOG

davwall - Africa Oil bought c20% at 29p back on the 13th Nov, so share price is still trading at a 10% discount paid by them. I think AIM is just playing catch up (as in Canada the share price is already there at C$0.50 last night's close), escpecially given Brent is also up 5+% since then.

The Orinduik seismic data report is due out this month.

Good to see the share price chugging ahead anyway, but we now need a positive report.

2018 could be transformational

fully funded with $30 mill (once TOTAL take ip their 25%)for minimum 4 drills

150 Mill Barrels is ECO interest in 1st Drill in Guyana and 200 Mill in Cooper Block Namibia

PLUS what ever JV deal is taken up with AOC!!

if just Guyana happens then its a 20 bagger from here :-)

Is any information available on whether a decision has been made which prospect to drill and on which block?

Next step is applying for Environmental Clearance for drilling the prospect.

How far has this progressed, if at all?

2) 2018 Q1 Total exercises farm in option, pays $12M taking cash position to $30M (16p/share).
3) 2018 drilling schedule decided and rig contract issued for multi-well fully funded campaign.

/NAMIBIA/

4) 2018 Q1 TLW well directly adjacent to ECO Cooper licence spuds.
5) 2018 TLW decides on option to increase interest in Cooper to 40%. ECO then gets free carry on exploration well and more back costs paid.
6) 2018 drilling schedule decided and rig contract issued for well.
7) 2018 Results of other drills also underway in Walvis/Namibia.
8) Farm out of other blocks if results are good.

/OTHER/

9) Announcement of other asset acqusitions through Africa Oil JV.
