Thanks to the comments here I sold this at 1.85ish a few days back and looking to get back in again now that the discount has widened.

Sadly it was less than 2% of the remaining portfolio that I mainly held on to!

Returning to buy territory? Is at least moderately defensive.

Bit of both. In a similar vein I am looking at UEM as a possibility.

Amazing how the discount has steadily closed over recent months

Have you gone into other similar infrastructure trusts, or branched into other sectors

Well done - I was out far too soon, having held it variously forever. Have to give them credit where it's due, having been poor performers for years and years, they've massively turned it around now.

I'm out at 186.95p. It's been on a great run. Decided to bank profit and move elsewhere offering wider discount. Will be happy to re-enter if suitable opportunity arises in future. GLTA who remain.

Have top sliced now that the discount has narrowed so much and yield now down to 3.5%. I hope I've left something on the table as regards my remaining holding.

Wow. Ignoring the £'s move, they're continuing to perform well - but bloody hell, had to wait a long time for it!

Mustn't deramp it now I'm out... Mustn't deramp it now I'm out...

Can't remember ever seeing the premium this small - NAV fall no fault of EGL's, is suffering with the stronger £.

Been selling. EGL been a crazy ride for me, since ECWO days. Bought more - a lot more - on the split, sold some on the bounce, bought more lower, didn't sell on the small bounce, sold some way lower, cursed :) But overall been great, had fat divi and now out for tidy gain, just a small number left.

Why sell now? Discount, in a word. NAV been stalling in mid-170s, 174.73 yesterday (ie from day before), 173.92 today (ie yesterday), & will be lower tomorrow (ie today's) due to bounce on possible Brexit deal. So say 172.5p tomorrow (through no fault of EGL's), and there's my 10p discount as mentioned above.

Hope to be back if/when it widens out again, but good luck all holders.

NAV - & share price - holding up well. Seems a decent port in current storms, but I'll prob slot a few if it gets to 10p discount. Could reasonably say 75% should be on say 15% discount, 25% on say 10% premium (still less than other Infrastructure trusts), which would make, er...

...Hmmm about £1.60. May slot a few, tho looks well bid.

Only just got round to his ST piece, was only a short mention at the end (bigger article on CityWire last week). Basically saying 23% of EGL is in renewables, and that renewables ITs trade on an average 14% premium.

Whatever it's now in, and whatever it's doing, it's finally doing alright - NAV has been on a tear.

Sliced a few from the portfolio as well, as mentioned you never go bust by taking a profit. Thought I'd have got better than 163p for them given the current demand but a profit's a profit. Glass raise to Cowie...
