09/10/2012 14:32 | Keep up the good work opa. | glasgow13
08/10/2012 22:44 | Two big buys this morning, somewhat surprised the share price hasn't moved northwards. Back to talking to myself. | opaldouglas
02/10/2012 18:58 | Things ticking along nicely here, seems interest is growing since interims. Thinking about the £2.8m vat claim as this was first mentioned midday way through Sep... has anyone any idea how long the hmrc will take to turn this around? I'm lead to believe its usually a pretty fast process although granted the amounts are no doubt usually smaller! | opaldouglas
28/9/2012 08:00 | Cracking set of interims, revenues up significantly and sales for the first 6 months of this year are equal to that of the whole of last year. V happy ;) Will look into in more detail when I return home later. | opaldouglas
25/9/2012 15:05 | spread is once again tiny... can buy under mid at 1.98 via tdw. | opaldouglas
24/9/2012 09:10 | Interims due this week, v much looking forward to numbers and future development plans. | opaldouglas
14/9/2012 08:31 | And now Percipient Capital has hovered up 7.5%, that's pretty much the whole placing subscribed. Great news! "Percipient Capital has a beneficial interest in shares in Eco City Vehicles PLC held by the following Nominees: WB Nominees: 32,666,667" | opaldouglas
13/9/2012 16:41 | Official confirmation of Nigel Wrays stake. He actually had 4M shares previously. | opaldouglas
12/9/2012 18:06 | Ah...very good OD. £43k sounds a bit steep. Had he got it fully blinged up....lol | lufc5
12/9/2012 18:02 | From the times... seems to confirm Nigel Wrays stake. Deal of the day: Financier Nigel Wrays latest foray has been a low-key event so far. The Chairman of Saracens rugby club last week took a 15% stake in AIM-listed Eco City Vehicles, the company behind the London licensed Mercedes taxi, in a 1.75 million share placing. Eco has a 36% share of the new London taxi market. The shares were 5% up at 1.9p. | opaldouglas
11/9/2012 19:46 | LUFC, Nissan NV200 have blatantly ripped off the Vito! In all fairness i like the glass roof and usb phone charger. It doesn't look as classy as the Vito but seems to kick out a good mpg... not sure if a 1.5 engine is enough to power a cab with 5 passengers and suitcases though, this could really be a problem. Also the Vito is a 6 seater which gives a distinct advantage. I think its due for general sale in 2014 so should be interesting to see how it progresses and if it might provide competition. | opaldouglas
11/9/2012 13:29 | Black cab v Vito Nissan NV200 | lufc5
11/9/2012 13:22 | The beauty of the city of London market (circa 25,000 cabs) is only the Vito or Black cab can be used due to their turning circles and restrictions and transport for London strict requirements.. I have noticed on my travels that an awful lot more Vitos are present throughout the UK which would imply their popularity is increasing. In Manchester I've spotted a significant increase within the last 6 months especially. Generally London sets the pace whilst a lot of the UK follows, I think this will be especially true with the Vito - the sales really speak for themselves. Also overtime the ECV's service department should grow significantly given the amount of new cabs on the road. | opaldouglas
11/9/2012 13:13 | Have just done a dummy buy/sell and theirs nothing in it. 1.92 (buy) & 1.90 (sell). V small spread. | opaldouglas
11/9/2012 13:10 | Hence why I said supposed.... ;o) Just you and I here it seems. Oh well....had a good look at website/youtube. Some saying the new Nissan taxi is going to be the next big thing. I'm not so sure. The Vito has that bit of quality about it and owners of them seem to love em!! | lufc5
11/9/2012 13:05 | All buys today LUFC, published spread was some what inaccurate as you could actually buy at 1.70/1.825 depending on your broker. | opaldouglas
11/9/2012 12:11 | Odd goings on today.....up on "supposed" sells!! | lufc5
11/9/2012 00:45 | Yep...should get a holdings rns. I've got mixed views on NW as he has done well in some and been associated with some companies who have ended up shafting the common pi. | lufc5
10/9/2012 23:54 | I expect it will be formally announced once placing is complete later this week. Hopefully we'll learn more regarding next phase of development in due course. | opaldouglas
10/9/2012 21:29 | Website is yet to be updated then, if that's actually the case. I picked a few up today, almost did last Friday when I saw the improved numbers. GL. | lufc5
10/9/2012 21:05 | Nigel Wray info was also published in the FT: "meanwhile, smaller peer Eco City Vehicles was unchanged but actively traded amid talk that Nigel Wray, the serial entrepreneur, had picked up a 15 per cent stake as part of a share placing" | opaldouglas
10/9/2012 16:47 | Lufc, I don't know who their source was but would assume its open knowledge in the city, L2 ticket up this afternoon to 2vs1... was looking to nab a few more at 1.70 but was quoted 1.825. Will try again tomorrow. Interestingly plenty of volume and some big buys today. All looks rather promising. | opaldouglas |
