Still feel the same with ECO, tough decision, just needed to divert some cash and look to come back at some point

I have had several email replies from Gil and find him very approachable, also like their backers AOI and Keith Hill

Can't be in everything ;-)

Jim, we are simply surprised you have left Eco on this minor two day rally, given your previous research and fundamental bullishness.

Penfold, whilst the CPR makes for fantastic reading, your on the wrong BB ;-)

Regarding COS, GBP is at a discount and the value would significantly increase with further de-risking with the up coming wells and the addition of 3D seismic.

Serica required a partner and 3D some years ago and for a 30% interest BP paid $50m including back costs and shooting 3D seismic. Only to walk away, probably due to the effects of Deepwater Horizon

This is my final reply regarding GBP on this board, you know where to find me if you want to carry it on

Mr hangman

Exactly. I generally don't touch oil juniors (or majors) but on the coin flip it seems mad to ignore what I picked up on this morning.

Partially ignited due to having a good look at BPC. Someone I know was/is in and he only mentioned it to me the evening before the bad news that hit it.

I've looked at it and can't understand why anyone would take a decent chunk of that right now. It hit £100 mill MC because if exclusive interest brief chats for an unproven area with an unnamed major (now gone).

I had a quick read of news and listened to the interview. CEO saying it very much looks like it's linked into the Exxon hit and they are some new pockets structures also identified. Total have a load of the data, CEO very much likes the look of it and thinks Total will take the 25%. Just waiting on the Eastern data which will be given to Total.

So yes given all the effort put in by some why walk when the share price hasn't gone exactly mad and more than a fair chance they are sat on major oil.

The whole area could be dry but on the bits coming out it sounds more likely that there is oil there. So a coin flip weighted on the positive side.

eco don't do acquisitions, they get licences in new provinces first and farm out the risk. its their strategy, which he keeps repeating in interviews.

jimarilo,

it's pointless promoting gbp's gemsbrok here on the eco bb.

gembrok has only had 2d done and many many years before drilling(if at all), with a chance of success of only 12.3%.

where as eco are drilling next year, with a chance of success that's going to be amazingly high because of the news yesterday of exxons find on eco's border.

Yes Jim I see the potential if they can secure a good farm deal.

Sorry about being off topic, but was asked a question ;-)

Char may well have a placing leading up to Prospect S if no farm out deal, so am standing well clear

GBP has PEL29 with a 3.66bln barrel potential (mid case)3 times the size of Tullows PEL37 and their main target Gemsbok dwarfs Chars prospect S

GBP Has a m/cap of £5m and near covered by cash

Stellar Energy Advisors have pulled the GBP mandate from their website early this week, which leads me to think they are in the final stages of a deal, which could mean a clean take out or farm out deal

A minimum conservative price would be £20m/10p imo

I know for a fact AEC are looking to close a deal in Namibia before Cormorant results, might not be with GBP ? and am sure others are trying the same strategy

Really can't work out why you would want to sell out of the biggest drill in a
decade or over, for GBP ??
One would of thought CHAR was the hottest ticket in Namibia

No idea who he is or care.

Read the various posts and out a few on filter including potty mouth types, checked their posting history etc.

It seems the game here is just see what the news brings. Deal or no deal re the Total extra 25%. Commentary on the survey, wells at some point in the future.

Namibia keep on eye on news from those already drilling nearby.

As I pre full news punt it looks exciting with bonus of some already hitting oil nearby rather than no one knows yet.

Not my thing oil stocks, there tend to be far too many herd types going mad over them.

One slight negative, I didn't like the way Jam put the interview link across 3 or 4 threads, but that's about it. It won't affect what is or isn't in ECO acreage.
