ARGENTINA GRANTS ECO MARKETING AUTHORISATIONS FOR AIVLOSIN® FOR PIGS AND POULTRY

ECO Animal Health Group plc is pleased to announce that its subsidiary ECO Argentina S.A (ECO) has received a number of marketing authorisations for Aivlosin® from the Competent Authority SENASA (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) in the Republic of Argentina.

Aivlosin®,ECO's patented antimicrobial, is used for the treatment of a variety of economically important respiratory and enteric (gut) diseases in pigs and poultry.

These authorisations, which are for the use of Aivlosin® 625 mg/g water soluble granules for both pigs and poultry, allow ECO to start selling Aivlosin® in the Republic of Argentina for the medication of drinking water for the treatment of infections caused by Mycoplasma in poultry laying eggs for human consumption, with a zero day drug withdrawal period for eggs.

These new treatments meet all the latest guidelines for the responsible use of antimicrobials. Importantly, with global concerns about the use of antibiotics in food production animals, Aivlosin® is administered under the control of veterinarians, available by prescription only and has low, highly effective therapeutic dose rates, a short treatment duration and a zero day drug withholding period.
