26/7/2021 11:38 | Should be alot higher following that update IMO, oversold again on daily. Target price of 460p. This is a bargain price especially given the portfolio expansion. Wouldn't rule out a takeover. | cureboy
26/7/2021 09:58 | The commentary around the dividend distribution from China made it pretty clear that the amount received during the reported period related to the worst ASF-affected period (ie 2019), which I took to be a strong hint that the distribution they will take in the current reporting period will be much larger. | tradertrev
26/7/2021 08:59 | Overall very good results but largely expected from the trading updates. The new CFO seems sharp. Addressing the disproportionate amount of profit that the Chineses subsidiary takes could be massive for future results. Expect the share price reaction is due to uncertainty around CEO's retirement, the cautious comments about some of the China revenues possibly being a rebound effect and that trading has been a touch muted in the first three months. However, overall I still rate this as very good value, partularly if the China royalty agreement is put in place as expected. | 1aconic
26/7/2021 08:55 | “Need to understand why they cannot increase dividends received from Chinese sub“ is a very good question, EAH had to curtail cash payments from China when the ASF was ravaging the pigs, making their cash flows in China dire, now we need to know when this will return to normal. In addition what strides are they making to get manufacturing out of China? There is a lot of risk with having all manufacturing in China given the political climate. | rzbrdbe
26/7/2021 08:30 | Strong results puts them in the shop window for a takeover. Most of those 'sells' this morning so far are infact buys. | cureboy
26/7/2021 08:16 | Noted the miserly dividend then saw that cash held outside China has reduced. Need to understand why they cannot increase dividends received from Chinese sub. Most important footnote is 16 dealing with China. Good to see growth in Brazil and US and indeed differing fortunes in Canada and US. | cerrito
26/7/2021 08:12 | Yes, looked good on first read. Opening price seemed to be the same as Friday's close - bought a few more. | qvg
26/7/2021 07:42 | Excellent set of results. | cureboy
26/7/2021 07:24 | Results look very good, well ahead of forecasts. Hope it lasts | johnrxx99
13/7/2021 13:27 | Results should be this month. Hopefully get us over 400p. | its the oxman
23/6/2021 12:41 | Only ‘buys’ today, so far. No ‘sells’ at all. | aimingupward2
23/6/2021 11:42 | Some decent buying the last few days here ahead of earnings, a good sign IMO. | cureboy
17/6/2021 17:00 | Interested to read that ANP today reported very strong sales growth YTD in China..though that is for reasons that do not apply to EAH-namely ban on antibiotic growth promoters in animal feed. | cerrito
17/6/2021 15:57 | Have you not read cerrito's post, 1248? That probably explains it. | aimingupward2
17/6/2021 15:26 | Bad couple of days here, have I missed a profit warning or something... | igoe104
17/6/2021 11:27 | Thanks Cerrito, I'd not seen that article until you mentioned it. I guess with the way they've been rebuilding herds some oversupply/undersupp | 1aconic
16/6/2021 07:49 | Article in the FT today about the big fall in wholesale pork prices in China currently at their lowest since 2019 and half of recent peaks. Also the futures market for wholesale pork has fallen 30pc since it started in January. There seems to be big oversupply. In theory this should mean that EAH has had a strong recent run in China that may be slowing down. We should hear soon. | cerrito
02/6/2021 09:02 | I know there's a lot of negative ASF news around at the moment but here's something positive for a change. The US department of agriculture announced last month that a vaccine candidate has been adapted to grow in a cell line, making large scale vaccine production viable (previously it required live pigs making it difficult to produce in quantity). It's been determined to be safe in tests and protected pigs against the virus with no negative effects observed. Massive news. | 1aconic
27/5/2021 14:32 | Should be next month. | kfr20
18/5/2021 10:18 | Anyone know when results are due out? | ifaze
17/5/2021 19:51 | It’s interesting to look at the share price chart over the past 5 yrs - a fall from around 650p to support last year at 200p and the start of a climb back over the last few months. It suggests, decent trading permitting, that there is still quite a way to go yet. | aimingupward2
17/5/2021 15:38 | Yup, everytime there's news about it there's a dip. What's stunning though is how EAH maintained revenue through market share. I can't really think of a covid comparison... I'm sure there must be a good one (which if anyone points out I'll no doubt wish I'd bought as heavily as EAH!!)... | 1aconic
17/5/2021 15:30 | gl to all current holders...ASF still lingering globally, just like covid. Vaccine on the way, but gonna be a while. | boonkoh
17/5/2021 14:32 | Thanks 100rich | gswredland
17/5/2021 14:24 | Same stable as SCSW then. I wonder if they'll pick it up in the next issue - or have they already? | aimingupward2 |
