Had to sell a few today to raise a few bob , 306 so they are quite well bid . Wont sell any more , my guess on a bid , could well be £ 4 to 5 .

I think we're going to see a lot of consolidation generally across the chemicals sector. Realisation of the USA market potential should be transformational for EAH especially if they can increase margins. Hopefully this will be reflected in any takeout price.

interesting recent article in the ft's lex column about animal health. in particular it mentions m&a in the space but says that the regulatory scrutiny makes it harder for bigger companies however this should bring mid-tier companies into play.........

Well the share price had quite a choppy ride this week but is more or less back where it started! Only a few weeks to go until the December update which promises to be another jump in revenue/profit. May be next year we'll see the start of the exit strategy for PL?

Chairman seems VERY confident......

Great news, gives egg producers outside the EU the ability to use Aivlosin and export those eggs in to the European market. I'm not sure if the equivalent tolerance exists in the USA/Canada.....must check.

Indeed it is. I'm hoping to find some cash to add another chunk before the interims which are expected to be "impressive"! One thing we haven't heard about for a while is the possible anti-viral effects of aivlosin that were very much of interest when we had the swine flu outbreak. I wonder if this is still being evaluated?

I think Merck use to be in animal healthcare as it was they who developed/invented the mectins which EAH sell as a generic. I held Dechra a few years back buying in at around 300p and selling at 600 which I think was before they acquired Vet XX. I regret selling them too soon but at the time I thought they had over-stretched themselves. That said, I doubled my money so can have no complaints. In many respects I face the same dilemma now with EAH as I have just about doubled what I have invested. Whilst I am tempted to sell some i see plenty more upside to come as they grow the business. And of course there is the expectation they will be acquired at a significant premium to today's share price I guess there are a host of potential buyers but whoever it is I'm sure that Peter Lawrence will want to endure the future of his current employees who have worked very hard to make the company successful. For that reason I think a large U.S. Corporate will not be as favoured as an EU based company. Whoever it is will need to already be in the farm animal market and have a well established distribution network. The kind if business model EAH have brings with it very complicated supply logistics and consequently relatively costly. So I think it has to be another company that already has this infrastructure in place in the key markets for EAH.

so share price moved up yday, could Friday's business in EAH have cleared up the mgmt options and any loose holders........eah is growing in size, could well be falling on the radar of some of the larger sized investors......
