ECK has certainly done the bulk of heavy lifting on my motley portfolio.

May be worth looking into the functionality one of ECK Patents. Traditionally, it has been difficult to authenticate that calls made to Contact Centers are genuinely made by the cardholders. Eckoh’s new process combines both Voice Biometrics to authenticate the Caller and also validates their phone ‘footprintR17; to authenticate the caller’s mobile device. It is this dual authentication mechanism which increases the Merchant’s confidence that the caller genuinely is the cardholder. As a result, although a fraudster may be in possession of stolen card details (including the 3-digit security code) they are unlikely to pass a voice biometric check and also be calling from the cardholder’s own mobile phone. As such, Eckoh’s US patented product could significantly reduce the ever increasing risk of Fraud under these circumstances. Well done ECK

The thing that intrigued me about the RNS was the statement "won against the Group's main competitor". Who is this "main competitor" and are they in a position to make a bid for ECK?

No serious mistakes perhaps but there was a problem in mid-2016 which caused a sharp fall in the share price (See profit warning rns of 2.9.16, para 4). Fortunately it seems to have been dealt with promptly and has made a good recovery since. Today's up-beat rns seems to have been anticipated to the extent of being already in the price.

SP risen from 10p in 2010 to over 50p today. Market cap still only £132m but with fantastic growth prospects, particularly in US. Management is excellent. I can't remember any mistakes made. OK shares appear highly rated but IMHO this is a great company. GLA

Eckoh said that trading in the six months to the end of September was in line with expectations, again showing double-digit percentage growth in both revenue and gross profit as the group continued to deliver on its strategy with increasing momentum. It said UK trading continued to be solid with a similar revenue performance to H117 and a strong pipeline of deals in the second half. It said that in the US, following on from the success of securing the largest ever payment contract win in March, the company had won seven new secure payments contracts during the period with a total value of $5.1m.

The record shows ECK Final Dividend (GBX0.48) - goes Ex-Div today for payment on - 27/10/17 Edit - some nice little 'buys' during this afternoon's trade.

If you read the full year results you will find that the loss from that contract has been fully reflected in the recent full year results so for this coming year it will no longer have an impact.

According to my records, Eckoh paid a maiden dividend on 10/11/11 (0.1p) and have maintained a dividend payment around Sep/Oct/Nov time ever since. Granted the dividend cover is a little thin (x 1.2) but at least it's covered. Hopefully the cover will improve with increased US earnings. Additionally, if memory serves, did Eckoh not buy the freehold on their head office premises a couple of years ago (thus saving on operating costs)? Plus the "bad contract" should start working its way out of the figures at some point.

Your statement about unexplained problems is the issue. They have cash and no problems. it's a very cash rich generating business

The dividend payment arrives too late after end of financial year.Assume there must have been unexplained problems.

Anyone know for sure, their website seems silent, interims due out end Nov 17? *just 'phoned their head office they couldn't be any more specific than "November" By way of feedback, suggested they might include a "financial calendar" on their website.

Article in today's Times re ID fraud epidemic (500 new scams a day). Surely only a matter of time before companies outsource all payments and sack-off overseas call centres.

mazarin, it was myself who asked originally as I was interested in who was interested in ECK from abroad. Trouble is, I'm not sure if some of the indication is just one of us on an overseas holiday (myself included). Thank you for including it so far but, as far as I'm concerned, it's just clutter now and may as well go.
