06/1/2009 09:47 | EBTM probably a naff idea---and the site has always looked naff- Talk about a ghouls gallery of amateur models. Never saw the attraction of making monies out of university students or the unemployed! As for ADVFN bulletin chatter-Sorry LLOYDEBTM ---given your blind optimism as late as December-your posts look ridiculous today. | williemanjaro
06/1/2009 09:39 | Maybe it was lloyd who sold 2.5 million yesterday - nice to be on the inside!! Was EBTM just a naff idea or are we going to see a raft of webstore failures to go with the high street disasters. Whilst Malkie made the right move getting out here, my choice to hang on due to the near negligible value of my holding is something that I have to accept. Best of luck to the few left here with your other investments!! | dixi

06/1/2009 08:48 | I wonder how the market will react when lloyd goes wading in at 0.25p | tel patel
06/1/2009 07:34 | TRADING UPDATE (relevant paragraph below, read whole from link above) As previously announced, trading in the wholesale division remains challenging and is unpredictable for the remainder of the financial year. As a result, despite the previously announced restructuring of the cost base, the board believes that the financial performance of the company for the financial year to April 2009 will be materially below current market expectations. | westcoastrich

30/12/2008 10:13 | EBTM needs to evolve into something else to make the money it needs to. The other course of action I anticipated involved buying at least one fashion brand when they realised that the retail side was running on lower levels than expected. This still isn't going to produce the figures they want. They definitely need to evolve if they're going to survive. Trouble is they're now treading on the toes of urban retailers - again, what's so exclusive with that fashion??! It's been going for years!.. and years... and years... EBTM lacks direction and is watching other companies in a desparate attempt to jump on the latest trends, which by the time they have them are on their way out. | oscar_hermann
30/12/2008 10:03 | I didn't think that administration would be an immediate threat, but after watching many companies tumble into the abyss in recent months, who knows what will happen. Back in 2005 there were 3 possible routes I expected EBTM would take eventually and one of them involved an investment company. EBTM's founders came into the music fashion market thinking that there was a gap.. there wasn't, they just hadn't done enough research - in my opinion. | oscar_hermann

26/12/2008 00:34 | the market does not lie these are at a historical all time low with many many sells logged just prior to the christmas time. it has to be a worry to hear my fellow poter mr lloyd say there is so much stock so close to christmas festivities this is major worry as most retailers should be low on stock that close to christmas. the sale of 70% off then another 20% off further indicates too much stocks in holding at the warehouses. this looks very grim time and the alexa stats in the above post are not looking good. i cannot see any positive at the moment and think sell is the right thing to do with all this bad news | googlefinance
24/12/2008 15:52 | LLOYDEBTM, I admire your conviction surrounding EBTM but the Alexa charts for 2008 don't augur well. (click on max and then go through each of the three charts) You will note that EBTM hit their chart peaks around Xmas of 2007. Since then it's been all downhill.. I wish every good luck for holders during 2009. You may need it. | radarlove
23/12/2008 20:16 | do your expectations end with administration in the new year | westcoastrich
23/12/2008 17:40 | EBTM still performing completely within my expectations since starting. Long this may continue! A Merry Christmas to all! | oscar_hermann
23/12/2008 07:45 | Cheers LLOYDEBTM - my main worry was they could be looking to buy the company. I have much to learn. Had a look at the link and it does look impressive I have to admit. I'm not so negative on their involvement now. | trigger45
23/12/2008 02:59 | ISIS have management consultants that regularly meet with CEO and help guide the companies they invest in to achieve outstanding growth. They will get out and move on at the right time but only when they have achieved a huge profit in the companies they have invested in. Their portfolio is amazing - and they never make mistakes in the companies they invest in and I mean NEVER MAKE MISTAKES. With ISIS on board it reaffirms my commitment to my shareholding and I still rate EBTM as a STRONG BUY (at 1p a share it is crazy money, in 2-3 years time, people will be kicking themselves that they didn't buy at this level). | lloydebtm |
