05/12/2001 01:30 | Solo packs have been hard to come by for independents recently and i just spotted this... I don't know which cables they are talking about, but if this cadmium limit is European law and other European countries have the same cables then i would expect a slight knock on effect to filter through. | games
05/12/2001 00:42 | HAVE YOU COMPARED THE PRICES OF SOFTWARE IN EBQ TO THE INDEPENDANT COMPUTER SHOPS?EBQ CHARGE A BOMB,COMPARED WITH THE OTHER SHOPS.ALSO,THE SECOND HAND GAMES,THEY ARE WAY OVERPRICED,BY AS MUCH AS £10 ON SOME TITLES.. | raveningwolverine
05/12/2001 00:37 | I did much the same thing a while back . I visited several stores in the Midlands and in the South...I remember them being busy. The Midand branches in particular being most impressive. I noticed this year that Dixons don't appear to be trading as well with their " games " products...can only be good news. | rkd9

05/12/2001 00:23 | I was considering buying EBQ after Friday’s announcements. I visited two local EBQ shops this weekend and they both only half full. Other shops were allot busier. Maybe my basic research is naive and maybe it was a coincidence that both shops were lacking in customers, but I always find that basic research is more accurate than listening to analysts that churn figures. I did the same basic research in M&S not long ago and decided to buy the shares. The research was right then, maybe it will be now! At £1.30 a share they seam expensive to me! Has anybody else been into a local EBQ and if so how busy was it? | celliott
04/12/2001 17:55 | But don't EBQ they say they will beat any price? I know GAME does. So find it cheaper anywhere and they will match it - and you get Reward Card points on top. | cockneyrebel
04/12/2001 14:32 | I visited my local store in watford to buy new release Syphon Filter 3. The store was heaving. Then I spotted it £2 cheaper across the road at game station. spoc | spoc

01/12/2001 13:40 | in the run into x-mas last year the price climbed down from 71p to some 50p all of a sudden on a flimsy excuse that the full quota of ps2 will not be delivered by x-mas. of course it picked up again and reached well over 110p in the early months of the new year. market makers know very well that this stock would be bought in the run up to x-mas by investors on the hope of a quick profit.the technique employed is to trap the holders. the price dropped by some 16% on one day and kept on dropping thus leaving investors with an option of selling on the cheap or holding for a number of months while hoping the price will rise. the urge to sell would be great for such a volatile stock. i do not wish to sound alarmist, but this is the truth. i would urge caution, buy in smaller quantities just in case, and set up stop losses with your broker if such a facility is offered by him. this is a good stock to invest in! | melfaraj

27/11/2001 10:58 | I have just sold out at 1.28 this morning. I admire you who are staying with it for greater things - but after a few stings this year - I'm grateful for the profit. Great prospects for this company though and if the price dips under 1.20 I may be back in!! | kiscokid
