LONDRES (Agefi-Dow Jones)--EasyJet a annoncé mercredi avoir soumis une manifestation d'intérêt pour la compagnie aérienne italienne en difficulté Alitalia.
La compagnie britannique à bas coûts a indiqué avoir soumis une proposition révisée pour une Alitalia restructurée, dont les détails restent confidentiels. Cette démarche s'inscrit dans le cadre de la stratégie existante d'easyJet concernant l'Italie, a ajouté le groupe.
Alitalia, qui a été placée sous tutelle en mai 2017, est soutenue financièrement par l'Etat italien. Le gouvernement italien envisage une éventuelle cession de la compagnie aérienne, mais a signalé que l'Etat pourrait conserver une partie du capital.
