24/3/2021 19:46 | amt, one thing I’ve come to realise over the years is that there is little point engaging with people that are a little bit, let’s say, ‘slow’. Anyone who can post that they could ‘never have imagined’ there could be another summer written off when we’re still in the midst of a global pandemic is a bit slow on the uptake. It was ALWAYS a distinct possibility, maybe even a probability. You don’t have to do much reading to know that a large majority of our population need to be vaccinated before Whitty and Co will advise to open international travel back up. And of course you’ve then got the countries that our people will be returning from. Who could possibly have imagined that the EU would mess up their vaccination programme - errr, almost everyone?? So, as I say, you hardly need to be Russell Grant to see this coming do you? To answer your question, it seems pretty likely to me that EZJ will fall to c.500-600 and undertake a painful (for existing holders) rights issue by July. IF another (more contagious/deadly) variant comes along in the summer or autumn then I think they may well go under. But that’s a big ‘if’ and I’d put it at less than 20% probability. | gettingrichslow
24/3/2021 17:57 | Shares don’t go down in a straight line, the deadest of dead cat bounces, just reading apart from more bond issuance IAG just kicked off a new 1.8 billion revolving credit facility....the debt of these airlines is just eye watering....I just cannot get these valuations, iag worth about .80p for its Heathrow slots and ez about 4.50...I see Stelios now constantly offloading shares.... tui closed another 45 more branches today.....terminal. | porsche1945

24/3/2021 09:05 | I think he's busy imagining the end of the world (or booking a summer holiday in July...) | activeservo
24/3/2021 08:18 | gettingrichslow. So where do you think the share price will be in a month or two. Are you still predicting £5? My lack of imagination makes it impossible for me to make a prediction. I notice Easyjet have cancelled flights up to June so a lot of refunds to finance. | amt
23/3/2021 10:55 | Hope you all got your shorts on last Thursday when I said on here! Money to be made. Remember, UK is a brexit covid basket case with an imbecile in charge, its for shorting and trading purposes, not investing. UK airlines in poor shape with little state aid, I think even Ryan will suffer but not as much as these and iag which are a pile of debt. Target, 4.80 to 5.50. SEll and if you want an airline upswing after the summer collapse buy the JETS ETF (USD). | porsche1945
23/3/2021 09:04 | You have to feel sorry for those who work in travel industry. | claret dragon
23/3/2021 08:28 | You wait and see. | activeservo
23/3/2021 08:27 | amt - you say “I never imagined this would get as bad as this. Another Summer lost” Really? It’s exactly what I was expecting! Completely and utterly predictable with even the slightest bit of thought let alone ‘imagination | gettingrichslow
23/3/2021 07:49 | I agree 2021 is a write off for flying abroad but that's due to slow vaccination rollout in the EU. | amt
23/3/2021 07:49 | Certainty trumps all this. It means financial planning (including profits..) with even more accuracy and summer holidays are on.Perhaps pick some up with the panic sell at 8 | activeservo
23/3/2021 07:47 | I think the travel ban will be extended further and you can kiss goodbye to holidays in 2021. The truth is different vaccines that are effectively still experimental and different ideas on how to use them will cause a need to closely monitor what’s going on delaying the second jab could cause big problems down the line it’s a wait and see approach that’s needed now. | 123trev
23/3/2021 07:32 | Tell me about it. I want to lock the scientists and the media in a big hanger in the middle of no where. Everyone is going to have to just live with COVID. People can't keep being locked up and shackled. Keep getting the jabs knocked out and get the economy reopened ffs before nothing left | leadersoffice
23/3/2021 07:22 | Only a nine day delay on foreign holidays. Terrific news for Easy and the other airlines | activeservo
23/3/2021 06:44 | The problem now is that flight cancellations may be followed by a shift in rebookings or refunds. So the short term boost in cash will be going into reverse. I never imagined this would get as bad as this. Another Summer lost. | amt
