m9 - If Easyjet's balance sheet is exceptionally strong, how come less then 2 weeks ago they sold and leased back 9 of their aircraft?

And Easyjet are also talking about raising further money?

Mallorca, you keep making predictions but they keep going wrong! Didn’t you say that flights to the Canaries will boom this winter? And didn’t you load up on Shell claiming they’d recover to >£20?

albert ... you sound bitter.

I have no concern at all about EZY .
Their balance sheet is exceptionally strong - they could sit out the next 6 months if they had to.
Things will turn around over the next 3 months and this will rise very sharply - probably back to around £12 per share by next Autumn.

My trades are not fiction which is why I try to call them as I make them.

Yesterday was quite a substantial buy at £4.63 - called out as I made it.

Good luck .

Taurus There is a travel ban get your facts right before posting
Taken from the GOV web
Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed. This includes holidays abroad and in the UK. It also means you cannot stay in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with. There are specific exceptions, for example if you need to stay away from home (including in a second home) for work purposes, but this means people cannot travel overseas or within the UK, unless for work, education or other legally permitted reasons.

Took half my EZJ investment off the table with this sudden rally, at breakeven ... too risky to be all in imo ... amazed at how it is performing today to be frank

There's not a travel ban. People "are discouraged from all but essential travel".

Again I bought more this morning - at £4.63.
Easyjet isn't going anywhere and it will bounce back strongly.

Still possible to book flights on the EZJ website for all November even though there is a travel ban, what's going on?

There's over 2,000 companies on the LSE. If you think they are all going to fall over the next few months then it would be the first time ever.

I'm not here to stock-pick for you but you could start by looking at Internet and Covid stocks. Plus some longer-term oversold divi plays for when interest rates turn negative. :0)

Come on then Taurus, tell us about a sector that looks good value at the moment and isn’t on a crazy multiple?

Sale and lease-back of aircraft to stay alive in an environment where passenger numbers are seriously reduced is a one-way bet to insolvency, if business doesn't return soon to where it was. How long does it take to become insolvent? - quite a while and then all of a sudden very quickly. Not a share I want to be holding now.

There is a lot of clutching at straws at the moment,if you are in may as well stay and take what’s to come,if you are still in cash keep it that way.aimo

Thegame, it’s a good question, but there has been no shortage of people on this thread who seem to be relentlessly over-optimistic about this virus. Some were even saying ‘it’s over’ in August. I’m afraid that anyone who isn’t grounded in reality is going to lose a lot of money on the markets.
