12/10/2024 20:51 | Flights with one stop can do wonder.LCY > AMS > GVA cost about half as much as LCY > GVA for only an extra 50min airside change at Schipol with KLM.It works if/when UK/NL schools break at different times, which they often do. | alphahunter
10/10/2024 14:30 | It's all based on demand so you travel when demand is high. I can tell you the hotels are exactly the same. The cheap flights are supplemented by the expensive flights. It all amounts to easyJet making a very slim profit margin over the whole year. Flights are largely full so whilst you may not be prepared to pay many others are. As for the luggage. I never have luggage and I certainly don't want to pay for your luggage. If you want it, you pay for it. Can't get fairer than that. | sapphireblue1
10/10/2024 14:09 | Simple supply and demand. If you book a flight for £20 and a lot of tickets don't sell would you happily pay £500 more on the date to cover costs? No...an airline is a 365 day a year business. You can't just expect it to be there operating at the minute you want it for bargain prices. | trying2trade
10/10/2024 13:53 | I wouldn't want to pay Jet2 £700 or Ezj £600 plus luggage only to find there's no snow or the French Air Traffic controllers go on strike that week. Just greed taking advantage of young families trying to get away. You also have to get accomodation and prices of hotel rooms are a bit higher that week - maybe 20% higher but not 500% higher like the airlines. | tygarreg
10/10/2024 13:14 | More than quadruple. That's 5 times the normal price. | tygarreg
10/10/2024 13:12 | Jet2 includes luggage but ezj doesnt | tygarreg
10/10/2024 13:11 | I'm a shareholder but it's disgusting how these (low cost?) Airlines screw families who have to travel in school holidays. For example both ezj and jet2 fly Manchester to Innsbruck for reasonable rates but in February half term they are quadruple the price. For example fly Sunday to Sunday two weeks before half term £135 return with Jet2. Same flights but in half term 2 weeks later £700 per person. Multiply that by a family of four. Easyjet not as bad as that but quickly upsetting customers. | tygarreg
10/10/2024 13:07 | If it's 50p then that's all ryanair gets. If it's easyJet holidays then we know they will get £5 . Easyjet are expanding down multiple metrics. Fleet expansion. Swapping out 319 for 320/321 adding seats and reducing cost. Adding routes to open new markets especially in winter. Migrating seats to holiday business bookings at 10x the margin. Ryanair and wizz have very few options. | sapphireblue1
10/10/2024 12:54 | lol. I guess 50p margin :-) | foreverbull
10/10/2024 11:39 | What about the £5 pound seats during summer , it was on hotukdeals with a link to loads of flights 😃 | noramping
10/10/2024 10:48 | Thanks Sapphire. Would be interesting to know what's the average margin on a per seat basis so any higher price results in higher margin and this higher profitability. | foreverbull
10/10/2024 10:45 | Egypt prices are also very high £300 one way bare price. | sapphireblue1
10/10/2024 10:42 | Interesting data coming out of the air fares for February March April 2025. Fares are up from 8-26% across our basket of routes. The assessment ignores the top and bottom 8 days which balances Easter out. The largest increase UK to Spain and Portugal up 18-26%. Bizarrely Ryanair are slightly ahead of Easyjet on the last 7 days average bare price. | sapphireblue1
05/10/2024 17:24 | £640m if they are lucky | noramping
05/10/2024 13:21 | Look at the last 3 years RNS. They always release 12th or 13th. This year it's the weekend. In 2020 it was the 8th but the last 3 12/13. | sapphireblue1
04/10/2024 16:35 | Where did you get the information about Q4 update on the dates mentioned please. | shabirm
04/10/2024 16:21 | Q4 update next Friday or the following Monday. Not long to wait. £720-740m profit is my hope. That will reflect the epic summer we all had on the Costa. Still summer weather and still packed. | sapphireblue1
04/10/2024 10:20 | I am surprised to see Ryanair up given the incident yesterday and the enquiry in Italy. I guess people are over the Israel stuff for now. Wait for it. Israel create a buffer zone for their "security" The buffer zone becomes illegally occupied with government incentives. The whole thing repeats in 10 years time. | sapphireblue1
02/10/2024 08:42 | Don't forget blames the EZY customers for booking garbage hotels that EZY offers. Sorry the booking portal...that when demand is low, the hoteliers will have zero interest in as they will want confirmed bookings from Jet2 etc. | trying2trade
02/10/2024 07:37 | I don't see what that has to do with you. I work when I want. In fact I am working this morning. I worked all night experiencing the facilities at one of our hotels. I talk with guests, tour the premise and meet the hotel management. Off to test the pool. It's a tough day ahead | sapphireblue1
02/10/2024 07:05 | Saph I say it because you don’t appear to work v much You spend far too much time on this bb | phillis

01/10/2024 14:49 | Today's conflict in the Middle East impacting the share price as Iran is preparing its missiles. | parvo |
