I received notification from Barclays a while ago that there was a corporate action on my account to accept or reject the Visa offer before 25th April, so I assume that’s the date that their bid lapses. The question is, if the offer is rejected by the majority of shareholders will the share price drop like a stone after April 25 in the event of no other bidders coming in by then?

Not sure. Visa probably have this unless a bidder will come in while delaying Visa. Doubt it. Still, expect Visa to confirm they have more support.

Others are buying up stock.

It's possible they're buying it to make % on the margin , who knows.

I thought V would have updated it's notification and acceptance levels but who knows.

They probably will get it at 37p but who knows. Barclays must be buying for Visa so they have at least 50%.

The competition tosh is a distraction. Someone, maybe even MC raised it or another buyer.

I'd expect Visa to confirm a bigger holding soon but they have purchased only 10% and probably won't buy more if they think they'll not get it.

Are institutional shareholders holding out/waiting for higher bid or just collecting on behalf of VISA?

Odd I agree. Why so cheap. Maybe MC complained. If a new bidder wants it they don't need CMA they need to bid. That's it. It's a delay tactic I think from a competitor.

Visa are having a chat asking the holders of the tea they sip if they can have the bags. They're still sipping.

Why have VISA not consolidated more shares from existing shareholders and announced we have 51% or 61%.

They've not said they have more support from other shareholders.

Not long left.

The only option is they'll hand the shares over last minute or someone new comes in with a new bid and swoops around 60% of the outstanding stock.

You'd think Visa would have had more stock by now. An RNS would have confirmed it. Seems like a waiting game. I wonder if PayPal want it. No point laughing.We need to see these US outfits sell their stock to Visa to cement the deal, that's unless PayPal are looking too. Soon enough we will know.
