Jail, its no big deal.

Ledgers are normally stored in a data base and can be updated, delete but not shared.

Blockchain is a simple, immutable system of record, in response to an event. This could be anything.

Epo use ripple, this is good, but these things will run along side existing systems until proven and those at the top can see its matured. It will take years and the more who try it, the better.

20 years from now, lots will be digital ledgers but linked to an action, like an order, an email etc.

Bitcoin has issues in creating its coins, they all do, in that they are not scaleable. Until that improves its going nowhere mainstream.
