TW probably doesnt even understand what the company does nor the driving forces in the markets it serves! Eye have a huge first mover advantage in a market which is seeing a major structural shift in the way retailers hand out, process and redeem rewards, in their various forms. The move to digital technology for the end to end processing of the rewards has enormous cost benefit for the retailers which the retailers are only just waking upto.Eye have grabbed the opportunity and appear to be running away with it...

Wal Mart will not ignore what is happening here.Eye, however will have to keep ahead of competition which no doubt will appear sooner or later.

I think you will find that the placing price will of been agreed a couple of weeks prior to the placing news was announced.

Normally you would expect a stock to fall to a placing price or stick around that level as the news leaked into the market. In this case the placing at 225p has been read as very positive news as it leaked out and the share price rallied, especially as the directors were prepared to buy so many shares in the placing at such a strong price after recently buying significant amounts just a month ago.

At 225p placing price you have to remember the stock had rallied 60% in a month. How can you expect the placing price to have been near 275p? The 50p premium to the placing price on Friday is a result of the placing having been agreed at 225p a week ago I would say. Weak placings would have been agreed at a big discount to the price a fortnight ago and the price would have stuck there until announced I would imagine. This was a strong placing with high demand and big director participation and that is why they have rallied so strongly would be my conclusion.

nurdin: they have agreed a pricing at a massive discount to current share price, that gives them an immediate gain as market has held up. Again, fair play etc, but if the story was that good, why not raise money at a 10% or 15% discount?

Just read the SCSW update if they can get Walmart on board should multi bag from here. Maybe a bit fanciful but you never know.

So they probably had it lined up before, took them less than a day to place shares, so why could they not given demand, increase placing price to nearer the SP? While I do think it is positive, that smacks of "thanks very much, in to my own pockets" from the board and would have expected better from them.

73.25P to buy so it looks like the placing has been gobbled up.

Good news, this.
No qualms at the deal the board are getting as they're putting up some serious cash on the same terms as the IIs. So the board is further motivated & commited. So that's OK then; if the managers make a big profit out of it, so will I & that's why I'm here!

fact that share price is holding up so well IMO does suggest market likes the strategy and may be clambering over themselves to get the placing....let's see....but if demand is that good then IMO they should up the share price materially....let's see if the board can manage that

Wow. Was expecting a 50p drop here especially after they said their spending would have an impact on this year's results. Must be a good 'un! Missed the dip unfortunately.

Agree could be a good buying op with bullish write up expected from SCSW and ADVN have them off 12% already.
